Des,
There are so many missing in BC and surrounding areas.
I was trying to find out how many women and how many in specific locations.
There are lots of different sites, RCMP current missing, RCMP cold cases, Missing presumed victims of Pickton and Highway of tears.
Each site has different names which makes the list extremely long and more disturbing.
I wondered why there are so many different lists and why they are spread out into so many different categories.
It would be better if missing person's and unsolved murders were all in the same place, perhaps it would be easier to find similarities or connections.
Perhaps that is what you are trying to do, It will take time to get all of these cases on this site.

VANCOUVER - Once again, RCMP in British Columbia's Fraser Valley are looking for a serial killer responsible for the murders of at least three sex-trade workers from Vancouver's Downtown Eastside.

Robert Pickton was once thought to have been responsible for their 1995 deaths, but police have since determined he's not the one and on Tuesday asked for public help to track down an entirely different serial killer.

The bodies of Tracy Olajide, Tammy Pipe and Victoria Younker were found in remote areas of the Fraser Valley, east of Vancouver, between August and October of that year.

All were drug-addicted prostitutes who worked the streets of the impoverished neighbourhood where dozens of sex workers have disappeared in recent decades.

Many of those women ended up on Pickton's farm in Port Coquitlam, but others — including Olajide, Pipe and Younker — met a different fate.

Police have long suspected the three women were killed by the same person who dumped their nude bodies in remote locations near Agassiz and Mission, but 15 years later police are at a loss to say who that person is.

Staff Sgt. John Cater said investigators hope the renewed media coverage of the women's deaths will prompt someone to come forward with information, particularly people connected to the sex and drug trades who may have been reluctant to speak with police 15 years ago.

"Hopefully, something will tweak their memory, something strange they've always wondered about and not thought it was important," Cater said in an interview Tuesday.

"Over time, people have life changes, people get out of the criminal culture. People who are addicted often pull out of that and lead different lives. These people may now have the courage or want to come forward and give us information that they were hesitant to for whatever reason many years ago."

Investigators believe the killer may have lived or worked in the rugged areas between Agassiz and Mission where the women were dumped, perhaps visiting the region to hunt or fish, or while working in the forest industry or for corrections.

They also say the suspect's red four-by-four vehicle was likely scratched or damaged during off-road forays to dump the bodies, and he likely wrapped the victims in some type of weathered yellow rain gear before disposing of the remains.

Police once believed the three women's deaths could be linked to Pickton, who was later convicted of six counts of second-degree murder and is now serving a life sentence in prison.

The remains or DNA of 33 women were uncovered on Pickton's farm, but Cater said DNA and forensic evidence long ago excluded Pickton as a suspect in these cases.

Olajide, 30, who is the sister of former boxing champion Michael Olajide Jr., had "primarily stopped working the street" but was still an active drug user, police said. She had a child. Her body was found Aug. 12, 1995, on a trail near Agassiz.

Pipe's body was found on Sept. 2, 1995, in the middle of a remote side road, where there had been no attempt to conceal it. The RCMP said the 24-year-old frequently gave money and clothing to the poor, but fell into sex work to support her cocaine habit. She was last seen at one of the low-income hotels in the Downtown Eastside.

And Younker's body was found on Oct. 21, 1995, partially decomposed down an embankment at the side of a logging road. The 35-year-old sex worker was last seen Sept. 11, at a government office. She didn't pick up her social assistance cheque on Sept. 25.

In the 1990s, investigators revealed they had a suspect on the three women's deaths — a convicted rapist already serving time in prison, who they never named.

But DNA has since ruled him out as a suspect, said Cater.

"There was, at the time, a very, very good person of interest and the investigative thinking and everything else led to this individual," he said.

"When we were able to get his DNA, he was actually excluded."

About the same time, police had publicly linked the women's deaths to at least four others, saying they could all be the work of the same killer.

Now, while investigators haven't ruled out the possibility the cases may be related to others, Cater said investigators have been unable to link them.

"I'm not able to say that because the evidence is just not there," he said.

Meanwhile, the head of a forthcoming public inquiry into the failed police investigation into the Pickton case is going on the road looking for input about what information should be included at the hearings.

Former attorney general Wally Oppal will hold community forums in Prince George and Vancouver to hear from people about the effect the tragedy of missing and murdered women has had on their lives.

The first of those forums is scheduled for Dec. 6 in Vancouver.

Three women, each found approximately one month apart, and linked by DNA, all just tossed like so much garbage, like the killer didn't even think it mattered enough to even bother to attempt to conceal what he had done.  Highly unlikely that these are the only three.

Has anyone heard of an elderly couple who went missing probably 1997 or 1998 and l believe probably never found anywhere in BC, or possibly AB..... Perhaps anywhere within a 20 hour drive of the Vancouver area???

I have audio of my child describing going to a big old house, with a stinky, dungeon type room and seeing an elderly couple chained up with shackles around their wrists and their ankles.  I believe this was Henning's house in 108 Mile Ranch.  My child said that Henning told her on a different day that he went back and killed those people and told her what he did to them.  She relayed to me an extremely graphic account of sadistic murder!

She is very descriptive in describing the couple, as being in their 70's she thought.  The man was wearing blue jeans and a red and black plaid shirt, and the woman was wearing a blue dress I think it was with little flowers and leaves all over it, past her knees and she said it was old fashioned and weird.... it could be possible he changed their clothes, but just to give the description.

For 12 years I have found it very strange how descriptive she is with some of these stories, like describing the smell of the room, and spiders on the wall, and how there was no carpet and wood for floor, metal walls painted the color of wall.......

If anyone knows of any elderly couple who vanished probably around this time, but possibly as early as 1995 and no later than March 1999, please help.

I spent the day looking for missing loved ones.  I came across some flowers and a cross that I believe marked the location where Jill Stuchenkos' body was found in a gravel pit. It was so sad.  Can the demon that is doing this at least call crime stoppers and let the loved ones know where these girls remains can be found?

OK, so I have been searching around the internet again on the Highway of Tears... particularly looked up Jill Stuchenko based on the comment by "Looking".  I found a number or articles relating to many of the victims and the story of how this spans since as early as 1969.

My last comment "It's so frustrating", is purely an understatement.

Over, and over, and over again I see "RCMP seek public help", yet time and time again they have shown that any tips at all from the public are absolutely meaningless to them.  I think they only ask for the public's help to put on a front and make it look like they care.  In the Piction case those people tried to tell the RCMP repeatedly for THREE years, but they didn't listen, and numerous more women were tortured and killed because of it.  Not even the bleeding, stabbed victim in the same Emergency room as Picton was believed because she was a drug addict? So what does that mean she is so dillusional her dillusions stabbed her?  How bloody ridiculous!

And here I am 12 years later with hospital reports to prove this man raped my child and she was exposed to extreme violence and displayed dismemberment themes in her therapy as well as the therapist who was hired by the VPD stating the pics my child drew did indeed look like skinned female genitalia..... I am the mental case I guess lying about this guy driving up the Highway of Tears in a van with chains hanging from the ceiling behind the passenger seat, amongst a TON of other stuff I relayed repeatedly to the RCMP, media and other sources.

The RCMP find it more worthwhile to force cab drivers to give their DNA than it is to investigate this man who has proven himself to be sadistic in the eyes of many psychiatrists and counsellors who have worked with my child, INCLUDING A COUNSELLOR HIRED BY THE VANCOUVER POLICE DEPARTMENT FOR 9 MONTHS, AND THAT COUNSELLOR STATES MY CHILD WAS SEVERELY TRAUMATIZED BY THIS MAN AND DISPLAYED VIOLENT THEMES IN HER PLAY THERAPY....

It isn't just the RCMP who frustrate me, but the countless professionals out there who could help pro bono, or for a discount to help bring enough evidence to these murders to get the police to listen.  I have handwriting, prints, DNA, either blood or semen sample on a used woman's wallet, actual items in my posession..... BUT NOT ONE PERSON OFFERS TO HELP WITHOUT CASH IN THEIR HAND!

This isn't about money people!!!  So many articles out there demand answers, want justice... yet when it comes to the crunch people with the professional skills to help outside of the police won't budge without MONEY.

SO BE IT, I WILL FIND A WAY TO FINANCE ALL THESE TESTS, TO FORCE THE RCMP TO LISTEN AND I WILL NEVER GIVE UP.

I know this man is a killer, and I don't think it was swap meets that he got all these used women's wallets, clothing, and watches from!  I still have some in my posession and I will test them.

What is the matter with people who only want money to help with countless murders!   UUGGGHHH!
