Debbie ... the fire on your doorsteps pretty well
« on: August 17, 2018, 02:42:45 PM »
Debbie grab your stuff and run!

I have learned to pray again and my tears with every picture I see out of BC. The latest round were the pictures of a moose family surrounded by fire getting into the water (lake), and another mother deer calling out against a backdrop of huge flames and have to wonder if her baby made it out. Bears terrified and running but nowhere to run to. Then a heart touching photo of a rather ragged firefighter, holding a very frightened fawn in his arms.
Either dense smoke or flames hundreds feet high.

My heart just breaks!

I hope you all keep safe. My prayers for your safety. :(

I am still ok here SAP. Thanks for thinking of me.

There are many evacuation alerts and orders, in place in BC, however the alert that was very close to where I live (other side of the river) has now been lifted. It is extremely smoky and was almost pitch black here today at 2:00 PM.  Thankfully that didn't last long. It is still very hazy, but not as dark now.

My thoughts are with all those who are displaced, and with those fighting tirelessly to battle the fires. May everyone stay safe.

So sad to know that there is much wildlife that will perish again this year.

Stay Safe Debbie, and keep your most important stuff in your purse , just in case.  If they want you to evacute please do .  The fires in Northern Ont are bad as well but not as bad as BC is seems .l

I was reading just now as well that at least one situation was averted but seems there still is stand by in case. Now the Washington USA fire has entered Canada. Since yesterday the fire map is looking very much worse and it was bad before.

EWO, so sorry also for the Ontario fires. I hope there is headway there at least. We just got a little downpour and we would gladly give away the rain as we really do not need it.

Hoping the fires will uncover human remains.  Too many missing people!

Yes, I'm still safe eyes :). Thank you for thinking of me.

I would absolutely evacuate if I was told to. I have a few things ready if that were to become the case. Vehicle gassed up and ready also.

Keep yourself safe in Ontario too.
