Werid: Larry FIsher and Brett Morgan
« on: September 22, 2007, 08:40:40 AM »
In 1978 or around there, Brett Morgan killed a prostitute in Edmonton by strangling her.
He also testified against Larry Fisher who had told Brett Morgan that they best way to beat a murder rap was to frame another guy.

Anyway, that is exactly what Brett Morgan did when got out of prison. He killed a woman who had fallen in love with him while in prison, paid his legal fees to get him out early, gave him money to start a business etc. Then he killed her and tried to frame her ex.

ANyway, this guy seems like a killing machine, so does Larry Fisher and it is clear they both knew each other.

It is clear they have both been in prison recently but in the 70's they were not. I wonder if the police has looked into this potentially leathal team?

The only info I could find online about this is here:

Yeah that is more what I was thinking, the 70's more then anything. If this guy kills so easy then it is possible he was killing even before he was caught in 1978.

I watched on Exibit A (TV show) about his murder of that girl who fell in love with him while in prison.

Apparently Larry Earl Fisher was eligible for parole in 2007, July, at which time he waived his rights with no reason given.
He would automatically be eligible again 2 years later in 2009, July. Since these last announcements, there's nothing at all on Fisher on google. What has happened to him?
Has the same system that let him run loose while Milgaard was in prison in his place for 23 years, cut him loose unbeknownst to the general public?
In the link above you will see how Milgaard tried for appeal after appeal and was turned down. Even Kim Campbell snubbed Milgaards mom who approached her in person, yet they were basically throwing the parole eligibility at Fisher. What kind of a system is that? More importantly where is this sick Bas****?

Criminal investigative failures a book written on Fisher. The link has alot of excerpts.

A timeline of Fisher and Milgaard:

Strange that Fisher's sentence was life with parole in 10 b/c that's what it would have been at the time Gail was murdered, yet Milgaard was given much more with no eligibility after many trys.
No one listened to Fisher's wife who knew he killed Gail.

Ya, that's really, really messed up

It's mind boggling. How can we find out if Fisher is out or in or deceased? He was a big enough case that mention would be made by media if he's out. Since he waived his right to parole, maybe he slid deeper into his mental problems that officials said caused him to start ravaging females. HIs mother wore a uniform to work and the info says he hated his mother; the crimes he mostly committed were against females in uniform except for one or two.

I find myself sometimes feeling pity on some of these people especially if they had a rotten home life and if they were abused as youngsters, I really think parents should pay some of the price.

Was Larry Fisher perhaps put on the "dangerous offender" list by any chance? How does one find out? There's no mention anywhere what happened to him.

I found this article that says he's due for a full parole review next month:

http://www.winnipegfreepress.com/breakingnews/null-40379892.html

The article was published two years ago, so I don't know if that timeframe is still accurate. I was not aware that his "life sentence" for Gail Miller's murder was subject to a 10-year eligibility for parole, in accordance with the law as it stood at the time of the murder. So, yes, he could be out.

Where was he in April 1981 when Kelly Cook was abducted and murdered? What about his buddy, Brett Morgan? Weird, Drumheller Institution is mentioned here:

http://www.justice.gov.sk.ca/milgaard/pubdocs/09202005/Larry%20Fisher/206861.pdf

It's 41 minutes from Drumheller to Hussar, down Highway 56:

http://maps.google.ca/maps?f=d&source=s_d&saddr=hussar,+alberta&daddr=drumheller,+alberta&hl=en&geocode=FZjWCgMd0JdI-SlHtGjqRlZyUzEcp3LNgQG3Uw%3BFTPoEAMdYJpI-SkfH_QHgA1zUzFZkJHAi1lRTA&mra=ls&sll=51.439667,-112.6824&sspn=0.221712,0.837021&g=drumheller,+alberta&ie=UTF8&z=10

I wonder if the RCMP have talked to any gal pals of prisoners who lived in Drumheller/Standard/Strathmore/Hussar around then. Might have been worth a try.

On an aside, with Fisher's known animosity towards nurses (Gail Miller was one), due to his apparent negative feelings towards his own mother, could he have raped and killed nurses in other provinces? The character insights here might be relevant:

http://searchwarp.com/swa12224.htm

***UPDATE:

This states that Larry Fisher was in custody in eastern Canada around the time Kelly Cook was taken:

http://www.justice.gov.sk.ca/milgaard/pubdocs/09192005/Larry%20Fisher/067059.pdf

Could Fisher have had any excuses for temporary passes from jail, such as is sometimes done for funerals, etc.? Some of his time was served in psychiatric facilities. He did have children, as the article above states. He worked in construction at the time of Gail Miller's murder.

I'm back to thinking about Harvey Andres in Kelly's case. He was an escape artist.

So he realizes he's not rehabilitational enough for the general public...

Parole board says rapist, murderer Larry Fisher has passed on June parole hearing
Regina : Canada | Feb 26, 2009 at 4:20 PM PST SOURCE: MACLEANS 00 VIEWS: 38

Convicted rapist and murderer Larry Fisher does not want to be considered for parole. According to a letter from the National Parole Board, Fisher has asked the board to cancel a hearing expected to take place in June. The letter says offenders can cancel their hearings for many reasons, but does not..
(the rest of the article wasn't there)
