http://ckom.com/story/embracing-families-launches-saskatoon/56504A national crusade for the families of missing and murdered aboriginal women was launched in Saskatoon on Friday.
Sue Martin fought back tears at the launch event, her daughter Terrie Ann Dauphinais was brutally murdered ten years ago, leaving her three children behind. The case is still open, but Martin suspects it was domestic abuse.
"I always told my husband 'god forbid if I ever lose another child, you better lock me up and throw the key away,'I just about didn't come out of this one."
"This is so important because when we fall we pick each other up, we get the strength and courage to go on," Martin said.
Amnesty International has agreed to receive and hold funds until they are ready to be dispersed.
