Ten years ago today, someone killed Terrie, 24, in her home on Citadel Peak Circle N.W. The house bore no signs of forced entry, leading investigators to believe from the beginning Terrie knew her killer.

A national crusade for the families of missing and murdered aboriginal women was launched in Saskatoon on Friday.

Sue Martin fought back tears at the launch event, her daughter Terrie Ann Dauphinais was brutally murdered ten years ago, leaving her three children behind. The case is still open, but Martin suspects it was domestic abuse.

"I always told my husband 'god forbid if I ever lose another child, you better lock me up and throw the key away,'I just about didn't come out of this one."

"This is so important because when we fall we pick each other up, we get the strength and courage to go on," Martin said.

Amnesty International has agreed to receive and hold funds until they are ready to be dispersed.

After 10 long years, Sue Martin FINALLY got to see her grandchildren. I know how much that meant to her and since I have known Sue, visiting those children has been something she has desired more than anything else. I am so happy for her!!

I am glad there has finally been an arrest in this case.  I have often wondered what, if anything, was happening with it.

Very sad and tragic.

Granted bail since he has no previous criminal record and has a list of commitments. Must stay in Alberta, relinquish passport, house arrest, attend court hearings/probation hearings when necessary etc. The usual.
