St. Stephen  RCMP is asking for the public's help to locate a 53-year-old woman who was reported missing.

http://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/new-brunswick/foul-play-suspected-in-disappearance-of-dorothy-tucker-1.2832109

RCMP say foul play is now suspected in the disappearance of a 53-year-old woman from the St. Stephen area.

Wednesday morning, police called it a missing person's case. As time passed, a canine unit showed up to comb the woods around Tucker's home. Then, a police photographer arrived, donned a white suit and went inside.

Police are seeking the public's help to locate Dorothy Tucker, of McGeachy Lane, in Oak Haven.

Tucker was reported missing on Monday.

St. Stephen RCMP say she was last heard from around 10 p.m. on Sunday.

Cpl. Chantal Farrah says at this point, investigators consider the matter suspicious.

"Evidence found at her home suggests that foul play may be involved in her disappearance," said Farrah.

Investigators have been canvassing the area, searching for clues, she said.

"While there is some evidence to suggest that someone may have been involved in her disappearance, our goal remains to find Dorothy Tucker and bring her home to her family," said Farrah.

"We're doing everything we can too, so we're speaking with the family and with people in the area. We've also brought in a police dog."

Tucker's family says her disappearance is out of character and they are concerned for her well-being.

Tucker is described as five-feet-five-inches tall, with a medium build, shoulder-length auburn hair, blue eyes and glasses.

She may have been wearing a navy blue sweater, dark coloured jeans with rips on the front and tan boots.

The major crime unit is leading the investigation.

According to neighbour Jeff Leighton, Tucker lived with an adult male son.

Anyone with information about the case is asked to call St. Stephen RCMP at 1-888-506-RCMP (7267) or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).

I did see this news report on CTV news. However, it did not state who was living with Dorothy or any information on that. For someone to leave home at the hour of the night with no designated destination is very unusual. The fact that the police feel her disappearance is suspicious leaves much concern for her safety. The weather has not been good in the NB area either of late. Sure hope that her disappearance is solved very soon and she is found safe and sound. :o :o :o :o :o :o

It was released today that the RCMP are expanding the search for Dorothy. This has, so far, included a wider grid search of the wooded areas and gravel pits near her home, as well as a dive search around a local wharf (Bayside).  It was also released last week,  that she lived with her adult son, or step son. Her vehicle and her sons vehicle have been towed for forensic search. It is such a sad story, one we can only hope comes to a happy ending. Given the Ident traffic in and out of her home, however, it is easy to feel discouraged.

A body has been discovered in a wooded are in St David's Ridge.  All that is known is that the body appears to have met with foul play. Age and gender "have not been determined".

This is not sounding good for Dorthy at this point, sure hope she if found safe but it doesnt sound like the LE think she is safe. I noted they didnt say the son or step son that lived with her reported her missing.  That makes me wonder who did and the very next day , makes me think the person was concerned for a reason

Dorothy Tucker's son Matthew Tucker has been charged with Second Degree Murder in the death of Dorothy Tucker. A body has been found by hunters, but is not identified as yet.  So basically, I guess it is Dorothy, because it was breaking news at this hour from N.B.  Sad that this lady had to die at the hands of a family member in another domestic violence episode. My thoughts and prayers to the friends and the family of Dorothy Tucker. Another senseless act of violence and by the person that should be trusted, a family member. :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'(

Matthew Tucker looks like he hasn't slept in the past two weeks. His mother is dead, he is in jail and his four children are going to grow up with their dad or grandmother.

Obviously her daughter-in-law loved her.  She pleaded for tips from the public.

Did Dorothy have other sons? Was he the only one living with his mother?

We may never know what prompted her son to kill his mother.  I feel sorry for the whole family, especially her grandchildren,  and yes - including him.

I would think that if he could turn back the hands of time - he certainly would.
He has caused a tragic loss - ruined the lives of others including his own.
