This is just my opinion, and I honestly mean no disrespect to the family, but have two scenarios that I have thought of.

Could it have been possible that Lorraine had a gambling addiction, I only say this because my aunt has a serious gambling addiction and can stay days at the casino without a care in the world. Could it have been possible that Lorraine spent all of their money and is now trying to get her life insurance policy (If she has one) to cover debt? I also thought Lorraine was retired? So where does all the money to gamble with come from? Her husband, outside sources (Drugs?) or money from someone else (Debt).

Another question:

Why would Lorraine travel all the way back home to get more money, especially if she was known to stay days or hours at a time. This makes no sense, wouldn't she have a debt card? or money in a bank? It makes no sense to drive back for a couple  hundred dollars+, when she could have brought it. Unless she was only limited by her husband a certain amount and had to beg him?

I'm assuming that the Casino attended is in Port perry? So an hour away? Why on earth would you go there an hour, and drive back and hour just to go back again. Three-four hours driving seems out there to grab a bit more cash? No?

Again, no disrespect. I only wish the best for the family.

My understanding is that Lorraine went to the OLG casino/racetrack that is near the town of Fraserville, just south-west of Peterborough on County Rd.#28.....much closer to her home.
I too wonder why she wouldn't use a debit card...or once she left, why she would bother driving back down again.

You're totally right there is one closer to her. I could only think of the Casino in Simcoe, Port Perry, and Ajax. I thought there was another but didn't know it was that close. Thanks for clearing that up.

Her daughter said that there has been no activity on her bank account since her disappearance.  Then, I assume she did have a debit card with her.  Strange that she would return for more money, unless there was not enough in her bank account to use her debit card? ..but surely the family would know how much money she had in it via bank statement going to her home by now.

I have "bad feelings" about her disappearance, in that if she left on her own accord, surely she would have contacted a family member by this time via phone.  She had a cell phone did she not?

I too think there will end up being not a good end.  I also think some people know a lot more than they are saying . I am amazed that she was not caught on camera any were as I truly believe it is the law to have cameras in the casino for security reasons.

According to her facebook, the family believes that Lorraine may not be in the Peterborough area.
Judging by the tone of the family, they still believe that she is alive.
(They may know something that we are not aware of.) -

Let's hope that Lorraine picks up a phone, and calls them - at least to let them know that she is fine.
If things have not worked out for Lorraine, the family will gladly welcome her back with open arms.
She is terribly missed.

eyeswideopen, I was at that casino a few weeks ago....and I just looked around the lobby and counted at least a dozen cameras....it is a small casino and not that busy....in fact I think I mentioned that the staff is friendly with the regulars....they probably knew her since it sounds like she was a regular at night.

Lorraine may have been caught on camera earlier, at the casino, earlier in the day.  Did the cops or family say that she was not caught on camera at anytime during that day?  Or were camera's never mentioned??
I think the camera idea came from us, this site.  So I would like to know, if cameras at the casino have ever been brought up by le or family?
Any info on that?? :-\

Also, how may km's is it from her home to where her car was found?
Is it possible to bike it??

I tend to agree with Jessica, in that Lorraine may have had a gambling problem.  Jobo, you said the slots were penny slots.  Where I live the slots take toonies and loonies, I think - not sure anymore, as I don't play them.  Have seen people going through loads of money at one sitting.

Are there not other slot machines at that casino that would take more than a penny??

I cannot picture a woman( at that early am) driving down that rural road, park her car, lock the door behind her and leave.

At the very least, I cannot picture a woman making a pre-arranged time to meet someone at that hour, down that rural road, park and lock her car, and not bring her purse (which was found in the glove compartment) with her.

I know a penny doesn't sound like much, but the minimum bet on many of the machines is 40cents...and a lot of people bet more than minimum bet.  So, you can go through money pretty quickly.  The machines that are disappearing are the nickle machines.
I will bet the Police have any info the casino had, if in fact they had some.

I believe that it is possible to bike it.

True, eyeswideopen, seems to me they are bringing in more penny machines, but there is still many machines with the other denominations, like you say.  Who knows what Lorraine's favourite machines are, but I'm sure she had a few.

Well, about penny slots, I sure wish we had them out west,  Not true here! Slot machines are big time, no pennies.

Jb penny slots cost more than quarter slots not cheap to play enough of the penny slots you end up playing any were from two to five dollars in most cases each spin. Quarter slots are cheaper.  spent the day seaching to see if there are any updates on her but nothing I could find
