The human remains found north of Barrie have been identified by OPP.  They are the remains of an adult male.  He has been identified, but police haven't released his name at this point.  I spoke to OPP Tuesday evening.  One family now has some answers and closure.  We will keep praying for the rest of our families who are still wondering what has happened to their loved ones.

I understand that identifying human remains can take a while, but this was last April. Has anyone heard who they identified this as?

Makes me wonder if this may be Hal Forrest missing since 2005?

That's a great observation Eyes, however, he is still listed as missing on their database. I tried searching for an obituary just in case, but no luck there either. It does make you wonder if they tested the human remains for his DNA. It would be worth a call.

I've seen sites that host human remains descriptions, that will also list the name of every person whose DNA was checked. I think that would be so helpful on the Canadian listings. That would probably save some phone calls, etc.
