Possibly they were strangled.
I wonder if it's someone who saw the ring being worn and made a point of figuring out where they lived just to steal it.  No sign of forced entry - maybe entry through a patio screen door- was it mild enough not to have AC on?

Looking at the video again of the woman, it looks to me as though she is carrying a doll in a box. I think I can see the dolls face & head.   It is facing towards her. You know what I mean.  You buy them in a box with the large celluloid window in front.
Also appears as though she is eating a candy bar or something on the way back.

Can anyone else see that - or not? or just me (probably)

I  see the tall box and it doesn't appear to be a food delivery.  It looks like she is eating something or maybe smoking a cigarette or possibly blowing her nose on the way out.

Could she be delivering flowers in that box?

Is that how a woman in Florida would dress?
Here is the archived temperature for that area on January 10th.
http://www.friendlyforecast.com/usa/archive/archive.php?region=FL&id=65836&?-Forecast-Hallandale-Beach-Florida&date=20130109000000&sort=hour

At 10:00 am it was 79 degrees.

Here is more clarity on the timeline from the police website, and video of woman.

If she worked in an air conditioned office or store and is required to wear a certain style of dress, it's quite possible she is dressed for Florida "inside" weather.

Good Point Discus:  Perhaps she did, but then again wouldn't she take her jacket off to go outside?
Perhaps she always wore a jacket in windy weather. It appeared to be windy, and she is heavy, so perhaps would be self-conscious.

These murders must of happened within a few hours on January 9th.
1. the newspaper for January 9th was in the home on the table.  Breakfast dishes in the sink
2. The couple spoke to their family that morning. I think it was 9:30, another report said 8:30 am.
3. They were to pick up another couple at 12 noon, and go out for lunch and they did not arrive.
This must of happened within a three hour window at the most.

How did these culprits enter their home in broad daylight, and leave without being detected by someone!!

Why was nothing heard? They share one wall with their neighbour.
Why was the place neat and tidy.  One would expect the place to be a bit disturbed at the very least.

Odd as well that this  woman did not ring their front door bell, that is,  if she was delivery anything to them. Wouldn't that be easier?

Why would the coroner send samples out for a toxicology test?

The police said that they were asphyxiated.  Now if they were strangled, than the coroner would be able to tell right away. So why  toxicology tests ??

And why would the police say they were asphyxiated, rather than use the word strangled, if they were strangled.
I doubt that the police would use such a term in place of strangulation. (or do they?)

The one wall shared with a neighbour reminds me of Sonia's case;  no one heard a thing on the other side of the wall.
Perhaps they were acquainted with the perps and welcommed them in.
Asphyxiation is due to lack of oxygen.  Could there be some kind of a drug that would lead to asphyxiation hence the drug testing?

It appears to be a robbery, what with the $16,000 ring missing.  An inventory was taken of their belongings and that is all that is missing.  Didn't they have other things that could well of been stolen? Such as other jewellery pieces, and surely he would of had a watch!! It wouldn't take thieves any effort to take his watch.
Why go to the trouble of asphyxiated them?  Why not bound them, gag them and take off with the ring?
(no doubt that ring was insured).
Something just isn't adding up, at least it doesn't to me.
- something isn't quite right.

I don't think the woman in the video is eating something.  I think she's crying.  Wiping both eyes.

Also the couples car and the (neighbours car?) were at home.
Looking, yes she is wiping her eyes. It does look like she is crying.

I watched the video and thought she had a cat or small dog in her hand, possibly she threw it in the water? Could be a reason she has not come forward?

It doesn't look like she's wearing the sunglasses at the beginning of the video, but is after she comes back.  Perhaps to hide those crying eyes.  She's carrying the package upright in one arm as though it is flowers or a bottle of alcohol in a bag.
