The RCMP are turning to the public for help in identifying a man whose body was pulled from the Red River in East St. Paul.

The body was discovered on July 18, north of Hyland Provincial Park. Since then, the police have pursued several investigative avenues in an effort to identify the man but to no avail.

An RCMP forensic artist has completed a facial reconstruction, which was released by the Mounties to the media.

An autopsy of the man has determined:

He was between 25 to 45 years old.
He is believed to be a smoker.
He had some facial hair that appears to have been dyed to a lighter colour.
He was missing a bottom tooth in the left front area.
He was wearing a pair cutoff grey sweats.
Anyone with information is asked to contact the East St. Paul RCMP at 204-667-6519 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS).

What would be the reason for dying facial hair a lighter colour?  I mean, men usually shave everyday due to over night growth?
To temporarily alter his appearance? To avoid detection by certain people?
To make one look more attractive and more youthful?
Cause of death not given.  Possible suicide?
