Some are questioning how the Policer could not have anything. There were multiple crimes committed over a fair period of time escalating to murder. Carol had been speaking with the Police prior to, she had an appointment to see them again in person to give a statement? or ? on the very day of her murder. A Police officer was called the night before over a prowler. Carol was talking all she could to whomever would listen.

So unless all the regular cops were off on holidays that week and had left it all up to Festus to solve, I don't buy it. Something smells bad out there.

Well, RCMP come out and make a statement if you can.  Let us know at the very least if this is still being fully investigated and that this crime has not been forgotten.
That sounds fair!  Not too difficult to say via your media that Carol's murder is still being investigated.
The public deserves it.   Especially to the citizens of Hershell and surrounding area.
Give the public some reassurance, after all we depend upon you to look  after us, we the public.

Suspicious Death - Carol KING

The RCMP Major Crimes south and the Rosetown RCMP detachment are once again seeking the public's assistance with the investigation into the suspicious death of Carol King.
  
 
The Media and the public have been of great assistance in this investigation and were directly responsible for the discovery of the remains of Carol King being returned to her family.  We are once again asking for the assistance of the public in locating other personal items that may have belonged to Carol King.  We are asking everyone who may be in the rural areas, farming or hunting, around Herschel, the Rosetown District, and the areas west to the Alberta border and east to Saskatoon from Herschel,  to be vigilant and observant to anything that would not normally be located in a rural setting.  Specifically the RCMP is looking for a purse yet unaccounted for, belonging to Carol King, as well as any other personal items that would not normally be in a rural area.  These items may be important to the investigation and may assist in discovering what happened to Carol King.
 If any items are located we would ask that the local police detachment be contacted with a description and location of the items so they can be retrieved.

  RCMP Major Crimes Unit - South, Saskatoon Forensic Identification section, and Rosetown RCMP detachment continue their investigation into the suspicious death of Herschel resident, Carol Nora King.
  
 
As a result of information that has been learned during the investigation, the RCMP has deemed Carol's death as suspicious.  Investigators do not believe that KING had disappeared on her own accord.

 RCMP are asking the public around the Herschel area to check their properties if they have not already done so, for anything unusual  that may relate to the suspicious death of Carol King.  Also, if anything out of the ordinary was seen or heard during the weekend of August 5th, 2011, no matter how trivial, please contact the Rosetown RCMP as it may assist in the disappearance of Miss King.
 
Since Harvest will be starting in the area over the next few weeks and several people will be out working around the area, the RCMP is asked farmers and residents in the area to be observant to anything out of the ordinary.  Outbuildings or storage areas on private property should be examined by their owners for tampering or unauthorized entry.  If any objects are seen or located that may be of assistance in solving the suspicious death of Carol King, we ask that public not touch the objects, mark the location, and call the Rosetown RCMP Detachment at 306-882-5700 with a description of the items and an accurate location.

I just want to bring up Carol's death, it has been almost one year.
Still no resolution. 
Are we being impatient?  Will this take longer?
Will it take longer to place all of the  pieces of the puzzle together in order to get a conviction?
Is there a suspect?
Or is the police coming up empty handed? Running into a wall?
Carol deserves justice, and most certainly her family, her sister, her mother and father, and all that was within Carol's family group.

Wonder if any announcements will be made on her annivesary - from police.

We hope that police are making some headway in their investigation, and that the investigation is still ongoing
---Perhaps they will speak to the public on the first anniversary of her death.
