Question:

Why are many people unwilling to provide tips to police that could solve a murder?

Liens are paid out first by an insurance company then the remaining money goes to the home owner or estate in this case.  He may be a married man now with kids but he was Carols boyfriend and was harrassing her acoording to family.  The family likely belongs to the new girl friend he has.  JMO

jellybean:
No, it is his wife, not his girlfriend. He brought her and his kids  to the area from the (Maritimes?), according to TG.
Someone please correct me if I am wrong. At one point I had it in my head that he was from the Maritimes originally.  But I am no longer sure.  His sexual assault happened in Alberta, so perhaps he is an Albertan.
In any event, it really doesn't matter in the scheme of things, I guess.

Re: the memorial .
"Please don't give him your HATE, he's not WORTH it. The Lord he cam [sic] and got me, and took me far away. Remember, I wasn't in my body when the DEVIL came to play. WHY?"

"Please don't give him your hate, he's not worth it."   This sounds so female. This would be a phrase that one woman would say to another. One woman confirming  to the other, that the man who is giving her problems, is not even worth hating. It would be a "supportive thing".

It  seems awkward and clumsy when applied to a man, somehow - at least to me. But maybe not!

So I wonder???

JB I am totally lost here?  Was he or was he not Carols boyfriend then they split up and he harrassed her according to family.  Now you say he is a married man with a family? Who to the enititals belong to that you said according to?  Now sure what I missed but I am sure confused? Thanks for any help?

SAP:
Early on we have learned that after Carol and this man split up, he brought his wife here from Newfoundland. He was already a married man. I didn't know he also had kids. What a rotter! Romancing one, claiming he loves her and married to another. He isn't an honest man to begin with.
I don't like to be carrying on with his personal life but just explaining here for those who didn't read and remember what was posted pages back.
