Hugh Turner | 85 | Former Edmonton CEO Missing in Arizona |

Wonder if this is going to turn into a ransom type thing. Isn't Arizona known to be the "kidnap-for-ransom" capitol of the US?

Still nothing on this man. There had been possible sightings by persons, however, when Police asked for the video surveillance of stores where Mr. Turner was supposedly seen, they found that the surveillance cameras were not operable at the time!!

How many cases have we heard that on now? Several at least. Since these security systems are most expensive to install, yet minimal cost to upkeep, why the carelessness with the cameras?
I know that just having cameras on the premises will deter theft crimes but that is downright ridiculous not to have them operating.

Sorry SAP, but the man is 85, and wanted for nothing. Perhaps he wandered away and may
be found in the desert. Whether he is a former CEO from Edmonton, or not, lots of 85 yer olds go missing. Don't want to hear that he was vibrant and full of life either. I am not buying it!  SENIORS AT THAT AGE NEED SOME CARE AND WATCHING OVER. Someone was asleep at the switch!

PEACE

Hugh Turner
MESA, AZ (CBS5) -
The family of 85-year-old Hugh Turner, who walked away from his Mesa home last Christmas Eve and never turned, are holding a memorial service for him.

They've chose noon on the anniversary of his disappearance to go to Red Mountain Elementary school and release balloons with messages for Hugh on them, Mesa police said.

Janice Turner, Hugh's daughter, said, "The releasing of balloons just feels like the right way to commemorate our dad and to help us heal from his loss as we watch the balloons peacefully drift away."

Mesa police say despite extensive search efforts, no clues have ever turned up as to what happened to Hugh. Police ask if you know his whereabouts to contact Mesa investigators at 480-644-2014.
