Jobo, my feeling is Audrey may have been far too cerebral for the "neighbours" She may have a been consider a recluse in the area but perhaps of her own choice.
Perhaps to Audrey, a dedicated  History teacher for years, she may have have had very little in common with..dare I say common folk, more taken perhaps with the next barbie and the latest car or SUV purchase..or whom has the best lawn.
Needless to say, despite the mention of strange individuals hanging around , LE seems no closer to an arrest since the day Audrey's remains were found.
Am wondering if perhaps Audrey's murder is related someway to  Orangeville..age group
way off  but who knows as there are no leads there either. 'cept silly boot prints.

Funny that you mentioned "silly boot prints".   The other day in town, my hubby pointed out a young guy in his 20's with his Dad, and dressed stylish with hair done, the down vest..jeans..and work boots.   ;)

:o So Audrey was a physics teacher that had a father who worked for the Atomic Energy Board in the USA.

The same place where Jack Tarrance worked.

I didn't know much about Ancaster until Audrey Gleave. Now I'm seeing stories about Ancaster everywhere, like this one:

http://www.torontosun.com/news/torontoandgta/2009/08/24/10587246.html

"According to his profile on linkedin.com, a professional networking site, Onzuka works as a part-time instructor at Redeemer University College in Ancaster and lectures at the Ontario IMG (International Medical Graduate) School in Toronto."

He's out on bail at the moment. He entered a guilty plea to the charges against him. Sentencing is scheduled for February 10, 2011.

This is quite interesting this information related to this Doctor. I do remember a murder, it is on this site, of a murder that took place in a university office. The female was sexually assaulted and murdered in her office in broad daylight. This just hit me right at this moment, this guy could be the one that committed this. It was felt that the person that committed the crime was someone that could walk freely through the university without getting noticed. I wish I could remember the name. I believe it was in Toronto. :o :o :o :o :o

Cape:  the one that I recall on this thread (and his sister posted it)  was a professor who taught at the U of T in arts.  She included pictures of his art work.  Murdered during the day.  He was gay apparently Never did find the killer.  It is on this website. May not be the same one that you are thinking of.

This vicious overkill of Audrey Gleave happened in December, I wonder if there is any connection to Sonia Varaschin in end of August in same year.  Different location, but these types do move around??

Shelley Loder's husband is a nurse, too.

The bio of the doctor mentioned in the article above shows that he has instructed nurses, doctors and school children. One of the last places he was lecturing is a religious university college. He worked at hospitals around Toronto, Mississauga, Hamilton and the Ontario Science Centre school programs, according to this:

 http://www.torontosun.com/news/torontoandgta/2009/08/24/10587246.html

"The online profile goes on to describe Onzuka as an award-winning clinical educator who has taught more than 2,500 doctors and nurses, 5,000 medical students in small groups, 50 one-on-one medical students and 300 school-aged children."

He was ordered to live in Mississauga with his parents as a condition of bail. Sonia Varaschin was working in Mississauga at the time of her death.

Food for thought from the article: "My concern is that there is the potential for numerous unknown victims out there," she said. "If they want to come forward, that would be great."

Problem is, the possible victims may not have known they were assaulted:

http://www.chch.com/index.php/home/item/1557-police-there-may-be-more-victims-of-porn-doc

Onzuka was known to use online dating sites, admitted to sex addiction and to abusing prescription drugs, according to this:

Wellwell: Didn't Sonia leave her nursing position to work for a drug company.  Is that company situated in Missasauga?

I updated my post to read that Sonia was working in Mississauga, which has been widely stated in news coverage. That's all I know. And yes, it was reportedly a pharmaceutical company.

Onzuka is on bail. He has not yet been sentenced. As far as I know, he only spent a few days in custody following his arrest in 2009. He pleaded guilty in December, 2010, with sentencing scheduled for February 10, 2011:

Wellwell: Well o well o well - now isn't that interesting. Surely they would have his DNA, and same from crime scenes of Sonia and Shelley?  I really think that both of these crimes are connected in some way.
