Question:

Why are many people unwilling to provide tips to police that could solve a murder?

Elderly Edmonton woman Pui Lan Wong missing
MONDAY, 05 JULY 2010 09:24 WRITTEN BY LEN HUMES
South West Division officers are asking for the public’s help in finding an elderly woman who went missing last night (Saturday, July 3, 2010) at 9:30 p.m. at 10432-80 Ave. The 78-year-old was visiting family members at the Purple Onion, who own and work at the club.

Pui Lan Wong doesn’t know the city very well and could have become lost or disoriented after walking away from the club. Wong usually goes for long walks, but it’s not typical for her to not return. Police believe she may have even taken a Greyhound bus to her residence in Calgary and have notified the Calgary Police Service.

Wong is Asian and speaks Korean, but doesn’t converse easily in English and is hard of hearing.

She’s 5’4”, think build, with short white/grey hair, brown eyes and she was last seen wearing a waist-length, light blue jacket. She was also wearing black pants with white striping on the side and was carrying a black purse.

Thanks Concerned. I don't understand that relatives allowed her to leave there on her own at night. That area can get kinda rough. I hope she is ok.

Apparently he's been found

Police were looking for 78-year-old missing woman Nov.5. Found Safe 11-6.

The EPS is looking for an elderly woman who went missing yesterday (Friday, Nov. 5) afternoon.

Pui Lan Wong, 78, was dropped off by a relative at the Starbucks in Chapters at 105 Street and 82 Avenue yesterday around 12 noon. When family members returned to pick her up, they realized she had wandered off. Wong gets disoriented and may be lost. She's also partially deaf and speaks very little English.

Wong was last wearing a light blue jacket (same as in the photo), dark pants with a white stripe on the side and running shoes. She was carrying a black purse and a cane, and walks with a limp.
She is 5'1" and 130 lbs. with short black hair.
