I am not Catholic, thankfully, however, there are also those in the Anglican Church who have also been accused of child abuse.
The most shocking thing for me, is that Nuns which we associate with the Catholic Church, who join an order to follow in the footsteps of the Virgin Mary, (of whom I believe in) who could for one moment also be cruel and look the other way, is totally depraved, misguided and disgusting.
Bring these nuns to court as well - Why should they be left "innocent", and why should it be only Priests? Nuns who have stepped over the line, should also stand before the courts!!To date, I see this lacking.
The whipping of children, and deprivation for what is deemed by the Nuns as misbehaviour is "CHILD ABUSE" The looking "away" when the Father makes a private visit with a child in the ward, having some thought that something fishy is going, and doing nothing, also makes them complicit.
These cruel actions by SOME Nuns goes against Motherhood and the protection, and caring of children, is beyond belief.
Weed out the "devils" Priests, and NUNs (which they are) and expose them for what they stand for - I say!!
I have many friends and relatives who are Catholics and I admire them.
HOWEVER, THIS SHOULD STAND ON ANY RELIGION WHO ABUSES CHILDREN, and in many HORRIFIC WAYS.
The good news is, it is finally all coming out by very brave parishioners, AND VICTIMS, who are speaking out!!
It takes courage, and I am proud of them.
They (these perverts), regardless of their pious stance in religion, will never find their way into the Grace of God.
It doesn't matter how many prayers of penance, how many Holy Mary's, how much incense they can burn, it will never clear them of the terrible acts of which they have been involved in.
There are too many victims left in their wake -

And those sisters who caused pain and abuse of young children (since they hide by their original identity, and given separate names by the church, should also be held ACCOUNTABLE, AND STAND BEFORE THE COURT OF THE LAW!!
Oh, I think I get it, Mary Jones, may be called Sister Elizabeth, and only the CHURCH HOLDS THEIR IDENTITIES,
and these records are CONFIDENTIAL.
Well it is time that the Court of Law, gets their real names and charges them accordingly.
How these people can have immunity, to my mind, is beyond belief!!
If I ever treated my children the way that Nuns did, I would be charged with Child Abuse. WHY ARE THESE NUNS IMMUNE TO IT?
