Desespere:
These are the names I have to date for Nova Scotia. If the victim was a known sex trade worker that is indicated by STW at the end of each summary. I have details on all these women and will post as time permit.

There are more unsolved murders then this in Nova Scotia or am I missing some. These are just women's names, but there are men that have been murdered that are not listed. The one that comes to mind was just on the ATV news at noon today, Johnathan Reider (sic), not sure of the spelling. He was last seen leaving a bar three years ago with an unidentified woman and later in the early morning hours was found murdered. No one has come forward, including the girl that was seen with him. Her picture was on video along with him leaving the bar. His friends left earlier and he stayed on to continue on his own. I feel this might have been a girl who was afraid to leave the bar alone and used him as possibly protection for herself which he was unaware of. If she had no connection to this crime, why did she never come forward???It has been on several times after the murder that the police wanted to speak with her for information. Somebody does know something and they should give it up. Maybe someone has the correct spelling of this case, it was in the city of Halifax on a weekend night that this happened. I do not know the exact date, but it will be on again I guess at 6:00 p.m news, they usually repeat. This must be the anniversary of his death. Any help on knowing more information maybe it could be posted here with his name and date of death. ::) ::) ::) ::) ::) ::) ::) ::) ::) ::) ::)

cape; I believe you're onto something in this one. I have always thought this poor man died either because he was on foot at the opportune time that some drug attict/s was out and about needing money for a fix and, in an instant upon seeing this guy alone, figured he might have that money in his wallet
...less risk than a corner store robbery. ....there are so many drug punks roaming all night in Halifax and area, (all cities for that matter nowadays) nobody should walk alone during the night.
My other instinct was that the girl he befriended, deliberately hooked up with him because she was nervous to leave that place alone, for whatever reason...
then whoever she feared took anger out on this victim.
But you absolutely can't ignore the fact that this girl never came forward...even if he just walked her to the curb for a cab...or to the corner of a street where she lived....doesn't matter...she was the last person to see him alive....how can she not come forward...unless she is guilty of setting him up....maybe she's afraid because whoever killed him would kill her...there has got to be a connection between this girl and whoever killed him.

Yes, lostlinganer, I feel that she used him to get out of that bar because she was afraid of someone, an ex boyfriend or something like that. He possibly did only walk her to a cab, but who will ever know because she never came forward. Many times the video was shown on TV in days following the murder. I think someone is eventually going to cough up. I do not know if there is any reward on this case or not. Hope something comes up on this. Somebody knows who that girl is for sure. ::) ::) ::) ::) ::) ::) ::)

Sorry Des, his name is Johnathan Reader and he was murdered in Halifax three years ago on August 7, 2005. I didn't mean anything by what I said, I just knew that there were many more unsolved murders in Halifax. There are also a lot of people missing and I can't think of the names of some of them, but I can think of some of the details. This is a very good site and has lots of information and thanks once again for :D :D :D :D your work, all of you, it is very interesting and I enjoy giving my comments and reading those of others. >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( :o :o :o :o
