Question:

Why are many people unwilling to provide tips to police that could solve a murder?

Harry Corbett Mystery

(1/8) > >>

lostlinganer:
I don't have one shred of doubt that Harry Corbett was murdered.  I was told a fantastic "piece of gossip" that's just too consistent with the characters involved, for it not to be true.  I won't use names; but I will tell you the story as told to me.
Seems Harry had a serious drug problem and needed a fix.  He went to his supplyer (a house on one of the main drags.) According to the story that I heard, he arrived at this house and his supplyer/acquaintence told him; "Just go upstairs and get it, you know where it is."  then the story says that when the next person arrived for "a fix" and the supplier went upstairs to retrieve it, he came down and accused Harry of taking more than he was supposed to ... ...and the result of whatever transpired at this point was a major beating administered to Harry.  The story says; the supplier and his buddies then deposited Harry's body into an old refridgerator (with the shelves etc. removed) outside where he remained until his body was trucked down, days later, to his own area during the night; and he was strung up on a tree to make it appear he had committed suicide.  (keep in mind, that area had already been thorougly searched by trained search and rescue people)  I was also told that the murderers then set fire to the house where the crime happened, in order to destroy the evidence.
As I said, this is just the gossip I heard in New Waterford about a month ago.

150 PROTEST AUTOPSY RULING IN C.B.:

(CHRONICLE HERALD) One hundred and fifty people demonstrated in front of the New Waterford police station Monday after police ruled out foul play as the cause of death of Harry Corbett. The 25-year-old welder and skateboarder disappeared on Sept. 8. His body was found in a wooded area near his home on Friday. The protesters were responding to rumours that Corbett had been beaten. The chief medical officer in Halifax put out an independent report that stated that the cause of death was not foul play.

By the way folks, "the chief medical officer in Halifax" rings a bell.  Oh yes, I remember ....isn't he the guy who landed the big appointment after the powers-that-be brought him in from Alberta where he gave a bogus finding of "no foul play" in Clayton's death!

There is a lot of mistrust in the New Waterford area and many are scared . This case stinks to high heavens also. I know of other cases where justice was never served, I know people who know about things that happened to friends and relations but they are too scared to come forward so they live with this and life goes on as they say.

I heard the story again today....difference was Harry was put in a freezer as opposed to a refridgerator - then kept there for days and transported in a blue? truck.  ... was also told the police know all this? ... apparently when the autopsy results were publicly announced, hundreds of people walked, ran, and marched up Mahon St. to the residence where it all took place... one eye witness (living near by) told me the father and step mother of the alleged supplier-murderer was coming out of the residence; and the crowd pelted rocks, and whatever they could find around the ground, at thier vehicle ....screaming obsenities and threats.  The near-by resident said she was terrified the mob would damage all the neighboring houses.  Just imagine how people in the small town, rise up - raise hell - then crawl in a corner and forget everything.  I swear it's like people in the town only get in the mood to fight for justice once in any unjust event...but they are only good for one round!
I hope friends and family of Harry find this site online and get onboard with their say.  I think it's time every horrible miscarriage of justice was addressed seperately on petitions and Canadians asked to sign  .... then all the petitions should be stuffed down the throats of our members of parliament with media watching.
The police are suppose to be working for the country - not running it.

I can never undertstand how people can swallow this bull. It's a hugh paradox.
How can a chief medical officer in a province, put out an independent report?  First of all; this is a person who received a political appointment - because of who he knows and what way he will do the job and take orders.  - there's nothing "independent" about it.

Fourtoesme:
Is this another case of justice not being served again? There are always witnesses and botched up investigations and we all know about coverups in New Waterford and area. Like what was reported to me by my husband, it was classified as an accident...it was far from being an accident but with the only witness being the coward that he was, not my word, words from construction workers he worked with, life goes on eh?
