Samantha Tayleen Berg - Edmonton - Murdered - 2005

Samantha Tayleen Berg ? January 25, 2005 ? Age 19 ? Murdered ? STW - The body of 19-year-old Samantha Tayleen Berg is discovered under snow in a parking lot of a trucking company on Edmonton's North Side. The teenager worked in the sex trade and she was a resident of a home for underage prostitutes.

Since E4C runs the only home program (through Crossroads), we can assume she was at one of those homes. Many of the young prostitutes went there.

This is a good article about the Edmonton sex trade, laws and increase in violence.

Des, I believe that there is also a house for teens, called Safe House, run through Catholic Social Services as well. I don't know much about the program. My mom was interviewed to work there.  She was offered the job, however she turned it down to go work at a similar program in Calgary.  She is still in contact with a couple of the women that went through the program.
