Public assistance sought to identify woman?s body

Edmonton ? The Office of the Medical Examiner is seeking the public?s assistance in identifying the body of a woman found in a room at the Cecil Hotel, Edmonton, during the early morning hours of October 12, 1999. Cause of death is pending toxicology and is not considered suspicious.

The woman is Native and thought to be between 25 to 40 years of age. She is 5 feet, three inches tall (161 cm) and 154 pounds (70 kg). She has shoulder length hair with dark blonde highlights, worn pulled back into a pony tail. She has three distinctive tattoos, including a three-to-four inch, ornate tattoo of a flower, feathers, a heart and initials on the right side of her neck. On her left shoulder is a tattoo of a rose and three indistinct initials. The tattoo on her right upper arm is a circle with two hearts and initials that appear to be "C.B.C." and "V.B.C."

She is wearing a distinctive silver ring with a turquoise stone and an engraved bear claw pattern on her right hand. On her left hand she is wearing three small, engraved silver rings.

Anyone with any clues as to the identity of this woman is asked to call the Office of the Medical Examiner at (780) 427-4987.

Since some people don't always jump from province to province... Can this one, with the description being highlighted, be posted in the different provinces???? Could possibly link a missing with a found and let a family finally have peace.
