Woman missing for three years found alive

Vancouver Sun
Published: Wednesday, February 13, 2008

A woman who was missing for three years has been found alive, the RCMP said in a press release Wednesday.

Police issued a release on Tuesday saying Michelle Cheryl-Ann Lynn Delorme, 21, was last seen in 2005, and had been a drug user and a sex-trade worker in Vancouver's Downtown Eastside.

The RCMP said "new information" prompted it to ask for help in the case this week -- three years after Delorme went missing.

On Wednesday, the Mounties said Delorme was located in Surrey and she is fine.

"Her whereabouts since 2005 when she was last seen are unknown," the most recent release said.
