I'm noticing this a lot. Women getting involving in child porn. Either selling access to kids, helping make porn with another man, or having sex with students, and even more disturbing, enabling a boyfriend\husband who molests kids. Not to be confused with women who are to scared to do anytihng about it.

Wonder if this is new, or it is just something we hear about now?

Child porn shockerCouple accused of sex abuse after images found on computer by repairman
By NADIA MOHARIB, SUN MEDIA

CALGARY -- Child pornography charges have been laid against a Red Deer couple accused of sexually abusing two kids younger than four.

The investigation was launched after a store owner called police saying he had found disturbing material on a computer brought in for repairs, said Southern Alberta Integrated Child Exploitation (ICE) Team acting Staff Sgt. Doug Andrus.

"He was in possession of a computer which had child porn," he said yesterday.

"I don't know if he has a legal obligation, but he certainly has a moral obligation and he did do the right thing by contacting police."

A court-ordered publication ban prevents naming the accused to protect the identity of the children.

Police would only say the girl and boy were both under the ages of four at the time of the alleged offences.

A 35-year-old man and a 28-year-old woman face charges of making, distributing, accessing and possessing child pornography.

They also each face two counts of sexual interference of a person under 14 years old, and two counts of sex assault.

The pair both remain in custody and are reportedly girlfriend and boyfriend. The charges are said to stem from incidents between May 2005 and February 2007.

Searches were done at two Red Deer homes but cops would not reveal what was seized and Alberta Child and Family Services are involved in the case.

"The victims are with their parents," Andrus said.

Cops would not reveal how the victims and the accused know each other, although it is not uncommon for a publication ban in cases where there is an established relationship and naming the accused might lead to identification of the victims.

Unfortunately such cases are not rare, said Andrus.

And a number of child porn investigations have been launched after something was discovered when a computer was taken in for repairs.

The Southern Alberta ICE Team, which has been in operation since May 2006, sees the province, Lethbridge, Calgary and Medicine Hat police as well as the RCMP work together to investigate Internet crimes involving the abuse and/or sex exploitation of children.

So far this year they have laid 66 Criminal Code charges for everything from luring to possession of child pornography to sex assault.

They now have 120 active investigations.

"It's a global problem and we have developed partnerships with agencies thoughout the world," Andrus said.

How sick can you get?????

This couple, actually abused two kids under 4 years old. Baby's. It makes me want to puke. Why these women are getting into it, is beyond me. Small children often do remember abuse at a young age. Not many women join in, but a lot turn a blind eye.

I KNEW as a child, what was being done was wrong, and also knew my mother was aware. Willow hates me, thinks I am dumb, but our backgrounds are similar.WE both grew up in and around toxic households. I used to have respect for her, and her survival, and the work she does now, it is too bad, that things went wrong.

I see nothing sexual about a baby, and it is excrutiating for me to hear of this. I do think that both male and female abusers, in the household, should do serious time. The mother, or girlfriend is just as guilty, and allowing or joining in the abuse deserves the same punishment of the man. Locked up forever.....

I agree, unless the mother can prove that she was too scared (which in this case is likely not the case), she should go down just like the father. I have a feeling the court will either not prosecute her, or give her probabtion though. Judges just do not get it.
