I am Helen's sister and we are still hoping to find her and her daughter or have her contact us, her family. She has now been missing for 39 years and it is her 57th birthday tomorrow on Oct 17th. She lived in Pr George for about a year before going for that walk she never returned from.
She did use the name Lana Lunn while in Pr George in 1969 to throw my parents off her track. She was pregnant with <name removed>child and did not want them to find out. ****told her they would get married after she gave up their child, but it was just a dirty trick, as he ditched her right after she did so. I have never heard of her using the other aliases mentioned.
I have trouble thinking of her as an adult as she was a mixed up hurt not quite 18 year old who lost everything after she lost the child to adoption and the guy she loved. Helen was a very sweet kid who was really quite innocent for her years in some ways.
The child's name was Sandra Jeanette Frost, born in Kamloops BC
Name changed by adoptive parents i'm sure.

Sorry about your sister. That is very sad.

Was there ever a theory or anything as to what happened? Do you think something happened to her?

Thanks

Chris

BC woman's search for birth mother turns up missing person's case

Michele Johnston's search for her birth mother has lead her to an RCMP missing person's file. Now she hopes someone has information about what happened to her teenaged mother more than 47 years ago. Seventeen-year-old Helen Claire Frost put Johston up for adoption shortly after giving birth in May...

...Johnston started searching for her birth mother in 2017, filing a request for her original birth registration. She received the document last week, and a quick online search for her mother's name turned up news articles and online posts about the disappearance.

"I'm like, oh my god, I hope this isn't her," Johnston said. "But some of the pictures of her ... It's totally my face."...

Through a missing person's forum, Johnston was able to connect with her aunt, her mother's sister.

"She had been looking for me," Johnston said.

The reunification has prompted the family to renew their call for information from anyone who knows what happened to Frost.
