Sad news...his family and friends can rest easier now, knowing where he is.  There has been such an enormous amount of support from his friends during these past 2 months.  This man was much loved and will be missed...

Wow, I grew up in this area and had family from Dahlton that would have been living there back then.  I've never heard anything about this case.  I don't have contact with anyone there anymore or I would try to find more information.

I was really hoping they would find something yesterday.  Our snow cover is so sparse this winter that nothing can really be underneath it.

No sign of Wesaquate

Are there any roadways leading out of Regina in that area?

The Trans-Canada highway runs right through the east end and there are a couple of other lesser highways going east as well.  The area is also home to the City Landfill and a lot of fields around the industrial area.  Parts of the east end have become pretty rough over the past few years and the crime rate has really increased.  The area where Brandy was last seen is a high crime area as well.  Things don't look good.

Brandy's brother posted on the FB group that family has been approached by people who say they can help but then ask for money in return for information.  What kind of people do that?

Another search... After all this time, it doesn't look good.

Regina police taking search for missing woman to new heights with help from RCMP

REGINA - Regina police are taking to the air to search for a missing woman.

They are planning the air search for Thursday after many ground searches failed to find any sign of 28-year-old Brandy Wesaquate.

She was last seen on New Year's Day leaving a house party on Rae Street in north central Regina in the early hours of Jan. 1.

Police spokeswoman Lara Guzik says RCMP air services will fly over the east end of Regina looking for evidence.

Guzik says previous searches and tips from the public have led police expand the search to the east end of Regina.

Another ground search is also planned for Saturday.

Local newspaper story -

There have been a couple of fundraisers talked about lately but that is pretty much all.  If there is news, no one is sharing it.  People are not as positive as they once were and frustration is started to show in some of the posts.  This man had so many friends and they are just wanting to get answers one way or another.

Good news!  Daniel Holt is safe and living under another name outside of Vancouver.

CBC News story from February 6/12

One of five young Vancouver men at the centre of a police appeal has been found alive and well, living in a small B.C. town under a different name.

Twenty-nine year old Daniel Holt was reported missing by his mother last September, but was recognised by someone in his new community after police made a televised appeal for help in finding the five men last week.

Const. Lindsey Houghton said the person who recognised Holt put him in touch with Vancouver police.

"Police spoke to Mr Holt and confirmed it was him, he wanted to leave the community and didn't want people to know where he was going," Houghton said.

Houghton didn't elaborate on the reasons Holt had for leaving Vancouver, but says his actions weren't illegal.

Sadly, this is probably related to the Bjornson case...

RCMP Says Suspicious Death in Fort St. James Recent
Friday, 03 February 2012 11:44

The RCMP has released new details today about an investigation on the Nak'azdli Reserve in Fort St. James, looking into what they are now calling a 'suspicious death'. Corporal Annie Linteau says they don't have details regarding the victim, but confirm the death was recent. She says additional time and forensic analysis is required to confirm the sex, age and identity of the deceased. Information of the findings was first released yesterday. Police will not confirm if the investigation is tied to the recent disappearance of a Fort St. James man.  Fribjon Bjornson was last seen a few weeks ago.  He was living with another person on the Nak'azdli reserve at the time he went missing. RCMP are appealing to the public for any further information about the suspicious death, and ask them to contact the Fort St. James RCMP at 250-996-8269 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS.

His truck has been located but he has not.  Updated RCMP bulletin

RCMP added Mike to the missing persons site 2 days ago -

I've been following this story closely on a couple of FB groups and it seems that there is a core group of friends working with the family and RCMP to put together information.  A private investigator has been hired today and RCMP dogs were at/near Mike's home today.  There are a couple of psychics/intuitives that are posting heavily on the FB group as well.

This man was well liked and very popular.  There has been such an outpouring of love and concern for his well-being since he went missing.  After reading all of the posts on the FB groups it would seem to me that there a few scenarios on people's minds:  a)he tried to walk somewhere and fell/was injured   b) he was robbed/kidnapped  c) he has been in a car wreck after leaving Pemberton and the car has not been found  d) he wanted some time alone and will re-surface when he's ready.

Here is a link to a website that has been put together and seems to be maintained by his friends -
