Question:

Why are many people unwilling to provide tips to police that could solve a murder?

Jelly Bean, Kerrie is not Aboriginal .The people who are walking are doing it for all of us. They are an awesome bunch of people and are doing all they can to help find missing people and help the families of murdered people get justice. They also have a traditional ceremony planned at the spot where Kerrie's body was found.
We can hope that all of the social media out there will make a difference for someone. We will just keep posting info anywhere we can. At the very least, make the perps uncomfortable knowing there is all this info out there and at any time, someone can put an end to their freedom!

Cpl. KS Pillay what a wonderful idea this is! Welcome :) I would also like to thank SAP for letting me know about this thread.
This is something that is needed to bring new awareness to cold cases.
My niece Kerrie Ann Brown was murdered in Thompson Manitoba in 1987,she was only 15 and was raped and brutally beaten, and the murder is still unsolved. We started a facebook page in June and a concerned citizen started a thread on this site.

We are very frustrated tat it is going on 25 years with no closure. I hope other provinces do the same thing as what your doing. The social networks are great for getting info out there!

Thanks for your part in helping to solve some of the unsolved crimes :)

This site is what started the process that is now in full swing. My niece Kathleen first saw this site and sent the link to her parents who in turn sent it to me.As soon as I saw the string, I posted pictures and started the facebook page.I have had lots of help on the page from Kathleen (niece) as well as my Sister Tammy and he Husband Kevin. Our family is spread all over Canada! Kathleen's parents live in BC, Kathleen and I are in Alberta and Tammy & Kevin, Ontario.
Tammy & Kevin paid to have posters made up One of us will post as soon as we figure out how to do it.
We have had wonderful support from everyone, and for that we are thankful Our facebook page has turned into a place for people to vent frustrations over the justice system and how things are handled. If you have not already, please have a look at the page.    http://www.facebook.com/groups/231697700189911?ap=1

Yes SAP, this is a great site and also Tips needs a huge thank you for starting the Kerrie string.
Once this gets solved, it will give many people some much needed closure. We are hoping that what we are doing is also going to help bring some tips in on other cases. Maybe get others family to see that there still is hope to solve a case with some work put into a facebook page and forums such as this one.
Once people begin to see a victim as a human being, they want to help. Putting pictures and stories about the victim where they can be seen is a big part of things.
Thanks again everyone and we will keep you posted !

I have not been on the site for a few days.Thank you BCID for posting that info.It is the first I have heard of Kerrie taking a taxi!!

I thank you too.Without this site, I would never have been directed here and found the string that tips.needed started for my niece Kerrie. So thank you for this site and thank you to tips.wanted for starting this string so we can say thanks you :) and for starting Kerrie Ann Brown string :)

I sure will! There are many who were touched by Kerrie herself when she lived and after she died.Everyone wants justice and to get the ones responsible dealt with.I have included another news paper clipping. It includes info we had not known.

Our Facebook page is hopping! We have over 1,000 members and Kerrie's brother Trevor tells us that the Police have been in contact with him and have some new info available!!
Will post here as more is found out. Thanks to Tips.wanted for starting this string :)

Thanks for helping to bring this case back into the open again. It was nice to be able to talk rather than trying to piece things together through posts and email  ;) ;)

Thanks tips.needed, we are just trying to figure things out as to where he may be.

Seahorse (L) the way you can help us right now is get get us info about how to contact Kerrie's Grandfather in BF and help find her Dad. We NEED to find him asap! If we could figure out how to contact (P) then we may be able to do it that way. If you could possibly help  with that it would be wonderful. You are the closest one tot he area and know where to find (P) so if you could provide a location or phone number,Tammy and Kevin can check it out further.

Also, the old evidence is one thing,NEW evidence is needed or new INFO.That is the purpose of this site as well as any other site that is up including Justice for Kerrie Ann Brown. NEW evidence or someone coming forward with new info is what is going to help!
