This lovely nurse @ St Joseph’s, and mother of three was brutally attacked and murdered in her own home.
Arrests of David Beak (22) and Yostin Murillo (23)....who seemed homeless, happened fairly quickly....but WHY...what was the motive? Very puzzling.....

I guess we have to wait for the court case....but there’s similarities to Sonia Varaschin’s murder...both women attacked in their own homes...both were nurses....
These two perps that were arrested would’ve been way too young to have killed Sonia.

Thunder Bay police are working to identify the remains found in a wooded area between the hospital and a cemetery on the weekend.
Human remains have been located in a wooded area between the Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre and Riverside Cemetery.

Thunder Bay police report a man discovered them while walking in the area Saturday afternoon and investigators are working on identifying the dead person.

The area has been the subject of police searches for missing people in the past.

The most recent was last fall, when 42-year-old Pauline Kireto disappeared.

Barrie Police on high alert following three abduction attempts

680News staffDec 04, 2012 15:27:01 PM

Police in the Barrie area are warning the public about three attempted abductions which have taken place over the past month.

All three cases are similar.

In the first case, a 24-year-old woman was riding her bicycle on a pathway at the beginning of November when she was attacked by a man.

After that incident, a 36-year-old woman walking on the sidewalk reported a man trying to drag her into a bush.

The most recent incident took place on Nov. 27, when a 20-year-old woman said a stranger tried to pull her toward a car parked on the street.

A team of special investigators has been set up and a composite sketch has been released.

The suspect is white, 30-40 year old, 5'9'' with a medium build. He has shoulder-length hair with blond or light-brown facial hair.

Anyone with information is being asked to call police or Crime Stoppers.
