A Thunder Bay man arrested in downtown Barrie with no pants on last June has since been charged with additional counts of sexually assaulting two Barrie men.
Jordan Mannisto, 28, is now charged with two counts of sexual assault, two counts of robbery and one count of performing an indecent act.

In court, Mannisto, a long-distance truck driver, stood in the prisoner’s box in handcuffs while details of the charges and evidence against him were read out in court.

There is a ban on publication of those details.
Barrie city police say Mannisto was initially arrested June 28 after witnesses told officers they saw a man walking along High Street in his boxers while masturbating at around 4 a.m.

He was charged with performing an indecent act and later released.
It was only later that it came to the attention of police that Mannisto may be linked to two separate cases involving violent sexual assaults and robbery in Barrie.
Police say in one incident a man was sexually assaulted while walking alone in downtown Barrie in the early morning hours Dec. 29, 2012.

A month later, another man was sexually assaulted while walking alone near Berczy Park at 4:47 a.m. on Jan. 19, 2013, police said.

At the time, Barrie police described the suspect as a black male, approximately six-foot-three inches tall.

In court, Mannisto had his handcuffs unsnapped and was released from the prisoner’s box after the Justice of the Peace granted him bail, despite the Crown’s objections.

Mannisto will be residing in Innisfil.
