A man faces four charges of voyeurism for allegedly videotaping customers at a tanning studio in New Glasgow, N.S.

Russell Alexander Wile, 33, appeared in Pictou provincial court on Tuesday. He was released on $1,500 bail and told he cannot contact nine individuals.

Wile was ordered to stay away from change rooms at pools, beaches, sports facilities and clothing stores. He is not permitted to use the internet or possess any recording devices.

Wile is accused of spying on at least four people at Coco Beach Tanning Studio in New Glasgow. He was arrested Monday.

Police launched an investigation July 8 after receiving a complaint from a woman. They said they recovered images on an electronic device.

Police said the investigation continues and Wile could face more charges.

Wile is due back in court on Aug. 22.

Apparently there is NOT a publication ban on the name of the accused,  there was a reporter/newspaper that may have misunderstood the publication ban was only on the victims names.
