Title: HOLLY BOBO, Age 20 Kidnapped Apr. 13/2011 Decatur Co., Tennessee
Post by: capeheart on April 16, 2011, 05:00:54 PM
Holly Bobo, was on her way to school and was going to her carport. She was abducted from her family's property. Her brother Clint had seen her being taken away and thought it was her boyfriend. When he checked further he spotted blood in the area. He phoned 911. The male that abducted Holly was dressed in camouflage clothing. A search is being conducted in the wooded area. There is also a $25,000.00 reward for the return of Holly.  Holly's father told the media that he feels it is someone that Holly knew and they had knowledge of the family's schedule, what time they left the home in the a.m. and felt they had been watching her. There were some things found that belonged to Holly, but the police have not given that out to the media what it was. Also the FBI are involved in this case because it was a kidnapping. My thoughts and prayers go out to Holly's family. She is a very beautiful girl. I don't know how to post her picture here, but maybe someone can do that. Please anyone reading this and know anything about Holly, call your local police department. :'( :'( :'( :'( :'(

When I read this, my first thought is that the perp is a 'secret admirer'....someone who has been watching/ stalking Holly for a while.   She is beautiful, and I get scared for some of our lovely women, as sometimes creepy guys are attracted/obsessed with them.

Jobo, I too believe someone was watching what time she left in the morning for school. She is very pretty. It could be someone living in that neighbourhood or someone her brother knows. It also could be someone who is going to the same school as she is, maybe they have tried to date her or something and she rejected them. I know that her brother did see the person and I wonder why there has been no sketch of the kidnapper. One good thing is the FBI is on this case, because she was kidnapped. I do hope that Holly is alive. She could be being held captive somewhere, because they lived in a rural area. They did note that they found some articles that belonged to her, but did not disclose what they were. My hopes and prayers go to Holly and I hope she is safe. A very devastating thing to happen to this family. :'( :'( :'( :'( :'(

Cinnsticks, thanks for that news. That is really interesting and I think there is a connection here. Following the news report last nite, the searchers and police do not believe they left the woods. It is a heavily wooded area and the police do not feel they are out of that area. However, the police and officials feel it is very dangerous, especially because Holly was only wearing a T shirt and no jacket or warm clothing. So if she was in the woods on these cold nights, it would be extremely hard for her to survive. God bless her and I hope that she survives this maniac that has abducted her. And the link by Csticks, I do believe this could be the same perp that took Holly. What a sick, sick world this is when someone can't walk out of their home in the morning and be safe. Please someone find Holly and bring her home. :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'(

I just wonder how this person could live in the woods with no heat. Or did he have a vehicle somewhere, an ATV that he had stashed and just quickly took Holly to a residence. I wonder are the police asking the public's help if they know anyone who is an active woodsman who is capable of living in the woods for long periods of time. And another thought I had is, why didn't her brother just take of running and catch up to them. I don't know why he just didn't take off running. I guess he has been beating himself up over that at this time. The only way that Holly could survive is if she was in a residence. It is unlikely that she would survive if she wasn't, because she was not clothed appropriately for cold weather. And the perp could be someone who was in the military with extensive knowledge of survival techniques, like a Navy Seal. This sounds to me like it maybe someone like that who has abducted Holly. I pray for Holly's safe return. :'( :'( :'( :'(

PARSONS, Tenn. -- Gov. Bill Haslam added $50,000 to the reward money Monday for information in the abduction of 20-year-old Holly Bobo.

The money would be combined with the $25,000 donated by residents and businesses in Decatur County hoping for Bobo's return.

While unusual, the reward offered by the state is not unprecedented. Three years ago, and before Jessie Dotson was identified as the killer of four adults and two children in the Lester Street massacre, the state offered $50,000 for information that would lead to a conviction in the notorious Memphis slayings.

Haslam, who was in Memphis Monday, said of the state reward in the Bobo disappearance: "In this case the district attorney involved asked us to, and he made a convincing case they thought it would be very helpful."

This extra reward money, I hope will cause someone to come forward. I believe that someone may know who the person is that took Holly. They may have an idea of a friend or someone they have not seen around for a while, who they may think would be capable of this type of crime. I just hope it brings someone forward with information in regard to Holly's whereabouts. After reading some comments on that site, I was very upset by them. A beautiful girl is missing and to hell with who put up the money, if this can find her and bring information forward and bring her home safe, it will be worth every red penny, even if it is the state's money. :( :( :( :( :( :(

Holly is still missing cape. I feel there are some strange circumstances surrounding Holly's disappearance. She was just preparing to leave for nursing school that morning. That would indicate that she was leaving to live in a different town. Also her brother Clint told police he saw a man dressed in camouflage force her into the woods behind the family home. I wonder if this was someone who had been watching Holly, possibly infatuated with her.

PARSONS, Tenn. - After more than 1,000 leads, there is still no sign of Holly Bobo. Friday marked one month to the day since her disappearance.

The TBI believes she was abducted from the back of her home. TBI agent John Mehr is in charge of the case.

Mehr said people who have good information about April 13 or the day Bobo disappeared are finally beginning to call.

In the meantime, the young woman's disappearance has changed the way people live their lives in Decatur County and the surrounding area.

When you travel to Decatur County there are tributes and memorials to Holly Bobo everywhere.

At a local fabric store in Parsons more Holly Bobo t-shirts are for sale. They are pink, which was Holly's favorite color.

Kristi Pearcy and Kim Carrington said the organized searches are gone, but not the will to find her.
"Everyday even when I drive to work I look in the woods is there any sign?  What if I just saw her?" Pearcy said.

Kim Carrington has also searched for Holly.

"There's not one day that somebody doesn't come in here and ask.  Every topic of conversation that comes through here is about Holly," said Carrington.

Pearcy and Carrington said they think about Holly everyday.

"Any part of the day you just wonder is she okay?  Will this be the day that we find her?" Pearcy asked.

Bobo has been missing since the morning of April 13th. As she got ready to leave for nursing school someone abducted her.

Her brother Clint told police he saw a man dressed in camouflage force her into the woods behind the family home. Bobo was wearing a pink shirt and blue jeans.

"You know investigators are frustrated, the family is frustrated, the community is frustrated that we haven't brought Holly back home to her mom and dad," Family spokesman Kevin Bromley said.

The Bobo family attended Bible study at their church in Darden Wednesday night.

Pastor Don Franks said he didn't realize the pain felt by the families of missing children. Pastor Franks said his grandson was killed three weeks before Holly disappeared, but that pales in comparison to Bobo family's tragedy.

"Our experience is nothing to compare with the anguish and hurt the Bobo's are going through as a family," Franks said.

Agent Mehr said the TBI is still waiting for the one clue that could help them solve the case.

Police have been busy checking the usual suspects, including registered sex offenders. There are several who live in the area.

There are no longer organized searches for Bobo by volunteers. The TBI said right now there's no reason to search, but if they do law enforcement will handle it.

There is still an $80,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person responsible for the abduction of Holly Bobo.

debbieC, I really thought that she was just going to school which she did every day. I did not realize that she was going away to school somewhere. Why were her family members not outside, especially if she was going away to live??? Maybe this is a misunderstanding.  I thought she was going to be returning home every night. Someone must know where Holly is????

Where is Holly? One year passes since nursing student, 20, was snatched from home

By Daily Mail Reporter

It has been one year since nursing student Holly Bobo went missing from her home - and police say they still get information on the case daily.
Yet there is still no sign of the 20-year-old who was last seen at her home in Darden, Tennessee on April 13, 2011.

Her brother Clint, 25, told police he had seen her being led into the woods by an unknown man wearing hunting camouflage at around 7.30 a.m.

District Attorney Hansel McCadams told The Jackson Sun the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation regularly receives information on the case.
'Holly's investigation is still ongoing,' he said.

I wonder if the nursing connection is just a coincidence ....
But there are a couple of canadian (ontario) cases where women have gone missing, were attacked or murdered, and "nursing" was discussed on various threads as a possible link between them. Off the top of my head: Sonia Varaschin is a woman who was missing and found murdered in Orangeville, Ontario, and had been a nurse; Shelley Loder was attacked and almost died in her photo studio very close to where Varaschin was found (or to where she lived; I can't remember) and, while Loder was not a nurse, her husband, I believe, was a nursing student. There are some other connections to missing/murdered women and nursing I can't remember off-hand, but I will look them up later.
I can only imagine how awful it must be, all this time later, to still have no news of Holly. My thoughts and best wishes go to her family and friends.

I always found that weird too. The connection between nursing and missing/murdered woman. Alexandra Wiwcharuk would be another here in Canada.

We have an eye witness (her brother) who saw that man take her into the woods alive. She must be being held captive. Remember Elizabeth Smart? They survived a long time in the woods...

Once in a while this case always crosses my mind. Such a beautiful girl and just no leads at all. It is hopeful that the police are still getting tips. I think that the police have to check every known person that had anything to do with this family. I would be looking at anybody that was a recent person to do electrical work, construction work, plowing in winter, anything related to any outside person coming to their property to do work and who would have seen Holly. Also anybody that was in her class, a secret admirer, somebody she spoke with on a chat line on the computer. Any male friend of her brother's that just maybe still friends with the brother and could have Holly secreted away some place. I hope the police also checked for anyone in the area that was into wearing camouflage clothing.

Has a psychic detective been contacted at all in this case. I would be checking everything out possible to find out what has happened to Holly, because she could still be alive. This is a brazen abduction in the early morning hours. I would say this person possibly was in the woods for a long time and was going to try and abduct Holly in the night hours and did not get the opportunity or the place was locked up so well he couldn't get in.

The police should have checked for fingerprints, because he could have been at the door trying to get in when the family was asleep.

If I were her parents, I would definitely be checking out a psychic detective, and there are professional people who are not fake psychics.

My prayers go out to the family and I do hope that Holly is found safe. But a whole year gone by and it seems like yesterday that I heard about this case. Maybe there should be a TV program of a re-enactment of this case and see if it brings some new tips. :o :o :o :o :o

Someone asked why so many nurses tend to be murdered. One reason that nurses in general could be at high risk for being attacked would be that they have to work shifts and are sometimes out walking alone in the dark. That, in itself, increases the odds of being attacked but in this case Holly was abducted from home with a witness (her brother) watching, so it's highly unusual.

hmmm sorry but I had to mention that there are also a lot of documented cases of family members killing other family members , fathers killing daughters, kids killing parents, and brothers killing sisters.  Wondering if that end has also been investigated.  I cant help but wonder if you saw some strange guy taking your sister into the bush would you not come running ???? I know I would and I am female.  JMO.

I don't think the brother would have had time to dispose of her, if I remember the story correctly and I think the explanation was that he thought she was with her boyfriend. I think the story was that she was taken by her car and led away. But she didn't make a fuss, that I know of. I can see only two scenarios for that-either she knew the person or they had a gun or a knife.

I went back and read the entire thread.  Sure the brother had all the time in the world since we only have his word on when it happened.  It could actually have happened the night before and we would not know.  He said he thought it was her boyfriend , come on now how many brothers dont know what their sisters boyfriend looks like??? I didn't read this thread because I had followed the case elsewhere. It was my impression (and of course I may well be wrong) that she disappeared at some point after her mother went to work in the morning.

Kelli Bordeaux 23 went missing 15 Apr 12 from South Carolina.  She looks just like Holly Bobo.  Beautiful with blonde hair.  They have not been able to find a trace of her.  SC and Tennessee are not far from each other, abducted almost one full year from each other, and look very much alike.   Serial Killer?

I believe that Holly knew her abductor. I believe he knew she was leaving to go away, that is what I understood, she was leaving to go to college for education. I do feel that someone could still have her alive or this could be someone having her working as a sex slave. I did not hear about the other person missing. I really do not believe her brother had anything to do with Holly missing. I believe she was being stalked and they knew she was about to leave the area and was waiting for the moment that she was alone and they got it.  :o :o :o :o :o
I just googled Kelli Bordeux and she was at a bar when she disappeared. She was also in the military. She was in the company of a known sex offender, who lived behind the bar. The police have to know this man had something to do with her disappearance. She had two text messages sent out and one was that she had arrived home, but the police do not believe she ever did. Because anyone can use your cell phone to send messages. I believe that cell phones should have to have a password, before you can send a message and I believe that would keep anyone else from using your cell phone. I think the person she was with had something to do with her disappearance and could have gotten away with murder. :( :( :( :( :( :( :( :(

"Six Petite Look-Alike Females, Crystal Hall, Paige Johnson, Holly Bobo, Lauren Spierer, Katelyn Markham and Karen Swift Vanished Without A Trace Just Like in the 70′s, See CNN HLN video, click here.  Karen Swift and Katelyn Markham have been murdered.  On Tuesday November 22nd 2011 I, private detective Bill Warner, was on CNN Headline News “ISSUES with Jane Velez-Mitchell” out of New York City at 7:00 pm discussing missing, petite, blonde haired women, Karen Swift, Holly Bobo, Lauren Spierer, Paige Johnson and Katelyn Markham who had vanished without a trace, at that time I spoke of the possibility of a serial killer targeting young blonde haired females.

Do not let the distance between the kidnappings and possible murder of 6 Blonde Haired Women Abducted From 400 Mile Radius in Southern Midwest throw you off, Ted Bundy traveled at least 6 states and thousands of miles.

Theodore Robert “Ted” Bundy (born Theodore Robert Cowell; November 24, 1946 – January 24, 1989) was an American serial killer, rapist, kidnapper, and necrophile who assaulted and murdered numerous young women during the 1970s, and possibly earlier, is there a Ted Bundy copycat out there now?"

**
I posted some of Bill Warner's work on Katelyn Markham's page when she first went missing. May she be at peace, now. Whether it is one person or several, connected or individual, whomever is responsible for the disappearances and/or murders of these women will be found and made to account. I have to believe this.

From the same website above --
(I know some people will feel it is a REALLY icky site, but it has pictures and maps that might be helpful in establishing a taxonomy of similarities among the women)
http://cheatersflorida.wordpress.com/category/katelyn-markham-lauren-spierer-holly-bobo-and-paige-johnson-vanished-without-a-trace/ :

"Petite Blonde Look-A-Likes Heather Hodges and Kelli Bordeaux Go Missing One Year Ago In the Same Week.

Wednesday, April 10, 2013

Two petite blonde female look-a-likes go missing in the same week. Heather Hodges went missing Monday April 9th, 2012 from Rocky Mount VA five days later Kelli Bordeaux went missing on Saturday April 14th, 2012 from Fayetteville NC, last seen at the Froggy Bottoms bar;

1). Heather Hodges has long blonde hair, she is 5′ 1″ tall and weighs 100 lbs, she is 22 years old.

2). Kelli Bordeaux has long blonde hair, she is 5′ 0″ tall and weighs 99 lbs, she is 23 years old......"

It is indeed eerie when you see the side-by-side images. I haven't been following these cases so I'm not sure if there is good info that discredits the idea of connection. But this site is persuasive in the opposite.

This guy is possibly gone to another state thousands of miles away or possibly he has left the country. He may not be a US citizen and have a passport and has left the country. I do hope the police have posted this sketch at airports.  Everything possible should be done to get this guy. There should be pictures of him placed on TV on every channel and also on the highway on a billboard, this guy has to be caught. And women need to be warned that there is possibly a serial killer on the loose. :( :( :( :( :( :(

Hi,

My daughter, Holly Bobo, was abducted on 4-13-11. After two years the case is still unsolved. There are other families in West Tennessee that have experienced the same tragedy for longer. Now is the time to push for a new approach and fresh eyes to achieve resolution for all these families. Please sign this petition to support the creation of a special task force. The new team will be comprised of qualified professionals who can re-examine and investigate these open missing persons cases.

That's why I signed a petition to The Tennessee State House and The Tennessee State Senate, which says:

"Create a special task force made of a new team of qualified professionals who can re-examine and investigate unsolved missing persons cases."

Will you sign the petition too? Click here to add your name:

Also it was said that a plane left Darden Tenn that morning and it's destination was Red Rock , Ont
It belonged to a man named Gr**es who has a hunting lodge/camp in the area. If anyone from there reads this please print out a picture of Holly and show it around to see if anyone remembers seeing her around that time in the Red Rock area. You never know. If anyone wants his whole name (I don't feel comfortable posting it it on a public forum) message me and I'll provide it.

Second man charged in nursing student Holly Bobo's disappearance
By Alan Duke, CNN
updated 7:58 PM EDT, Tue April 29, 2014

A second man has been charged with murder in the 2011 disappearance of Tennessee nursing student Holly Bobo.

Other suspects can expect police to be "on their doorstep" soon, Tennessee's top investigator told reporters Tuesday.

Jason Wayne Autry, who is already in prison for an unrelated assault conviction, was indicted on especially aggravated kidnapping and first-degree murder charges by a special grand jury Tuesday, Tennessee Bureau of Investigation Director Mark Gwyn said at a news conference in Decaturville Tuesday afternoon.
More than $450,000 in reward money was offered after Holly Bobo disappeared in 2011.

Zachary Adams was indicted last month on kidnapping and murder charges.
Zachary Adams was indicted last month on kidnapping and murder charges.

Autry, 39, was a longtime friend of Zachary Adams, 29, who was indicted last month on the same kidnapping and murder charges, Gwyn said. Autry, from Holladay, Tennessee, has a lengthy criminal history, he said.

Bobo was 20 when she was last seen on April 13, 2011. Her brother told authorities he saw a man in camouflage leading her away from their home in the small town of Darden, Tennessee.

Information from "several witnesses" led to charges against Autry, Gwyn said.

Investigators "believe there are more people with information and possible involvement," Gwyn said. He told reporters to "expect more announcements in the coming days and weeks."

"These individuals know who they are, and I'm sure they are watching, and they can expect us to be on their doorstep pretty soon," Gwyn said.

Although Gwyn has previously declined to say whether any remains have been found, he acknowledged Tuesday that her body has not been located.

Investigators are "doing everything we can to try to get (her family) some closure" by finding Bobo's body, Gwyn said.

The Bobo case rocked the largely rural swath of central Tennessee, from those who knew the young woman to others who rallied behind the effort to find her.

Hundreds of volunteers -- some on horseback and foot, others on all-terrain vehicles -- turned out to hunt for clues in Decatur, Henderson, Henry, Carroll and Benton counties. I feel great relief that the murderers of Holly have been found. How many times did this case cross my mind and just this week and then today I look and here is an update. How traumatic for her parents and family that Holly had to endure the evil people that took her from her loved ones and a promising life. I hope they rot in hell. And apparently there are others who have to be apprehended. My thoughts and prayers to Holly's family, to lose such a beautiful and intelligent young lady. God bless them, they will never get over their loss. :'( :'( :'( :'( :'(

My heart goes out to Holly's family and friends. I hope they can find some small comfort in seeing the wheels of justice begin their (slow) turn. I cannot imagine the torment all those who loved her must feel, but I hope they know that many, many people who never knew Holly are sending prayers out to them at this difficult time.

CNN) -- After three years of searching, the remains of Holly Bobo have been found in Tennessee.

The 20-year-old nursing student was last seen alive in 2011. Hundreds of volunteers turned out to search for her, and her case yielded more than $450,000 in reward money offered.

Bobo's remains were found Sunday in Decatur County, the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation said Monday night.

CNN affiliate WREG reported that hunters had found a human skull.
Suspect pleads not guilty in Bobo case

District Attorney Matt Stowe said he is "ready, willing and able to seek the death penalty in this case."

"We are going to make sure that everyone who played a part in the heinous crime that has attacked the peace and dignity of the great state of Tennessee faces a consequence for that," Stowe said Monday night.

Two men have been charged in connection with Bobo's death: Jason Wayne Autry and Zachary Adams. Both have pleaded not guilty.

Bobo's brother has told authorities he saw a man in camouflage leading Bobo away from their home in the town of Darden in April 2011. Volunteers from at least five counties searched for the student, but to no avail.

There was also a third man charged in the Spring; I wonder what happened with him. The 3 were a gang.

Why would Holly allow herself to be led away by one man without kicking up a fuss!! Her brother was there and saw it.

This really perplexes me!!  Did she know him?  If she didn't know him, what was his ruse to lead her into the woods?
"A friend was injured and needed help?"
I wonder ........ :o

He may have feigned an injury of a comrade while hunting and that is my opinion after reading the following article. In that case the men or at least one would have stalked Holly before to know she was a nursing student. Most nursing students I have known would throw caution to the wind if someone approached and asked for medical help because they are so very much tuned to help in medical crisis. Just all my opinions, of course.

DECATUR COUNTY, Tenn. — The family of Holly Bobo released a statement Tuesday afternoon.

Attorney Steve Farese read a statement written by family members where they said they are glad to know Holly is at peace and that those “responsible have lost their souls.”

Bobo’s remains were found in Decatur County Sunday by two men.

A Nashville-based forensic team is at the site today.

The 20-year-old nursing student was last seen April 13, 2011, by her brother, who told authorities he saw Bobo following a man in hunting clothes into the woods near the family home in Darden.

Zachary Adams faces kidnapping and felony murder charges for Bobo’s death.

Jason Autry is also charged with first-degree felony murder and especially aggravated kidnapping.

Decatur County Sheriff Keith Byrd said more arrests are coming.

“They can run, but they can’t hide,” he said.

Byrd said new information will “drastically change how the district attorney pursues the case.”

Rest in peace Holly. Thoughts and prayers for family. :(

Yes SAP, that is what I think too.  She was lured into the woods to help someone injured.
Good point about being previously stalked.  How would they know that she was a nurse in training?

Exactly JB, or else there's a possibility they were all known to each other. I can't recall if all these were from the same area or lived near each other but if they didn't, then stalking prey was what the men were up to.

I am sad about this case from the getgo. It is great that Holly has been found and the family can lay her to rest. What evil there is in this world, especially when a young woman who is so beautiful had her life taken by some brutally dangerous men. These guys were towering men, to want to terrorize and murder a young woman, they deserve the death penalty. I just hope there is the death penalty in Tennessee. It is horrible to think of the torture that Holly must have endured by these monsters. She is an angel now and nobody can hurt her anymore. I hope that the courts move swiftly and these perps will never breath fresh air again. My sincere prayers to Holly's loved one's. :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'(

Apparently there is a witness who saw the video that was taken of the torture of Holly. Now the alleged perp is scared for his life! He'll never have to go through the fears Holly went through.

http://www.nbcnews.com/news/us-news/man-charged-holly-bobo-case-denies-video-fears-safety-n201566

CAMDEN, Tenn. -- One of the men charged in connection with the murder of Holly Bobo — the 20-year-old nursing student whose remains were found this week, more than three years after she went missing under suspicious circumstances — said his life “will never be the same” and again denied seeing a cell phone video that purportedly shows what happened to the woman.

Authorities say Jeffrey Pearcy, 42, had a cell phone video that has evidence that would be helpful in the investigation into Bobo’s death. Pearcy denied it, and in he and his brother were charged with tampering with evidence. On Thursday, three days after Bobo's remains were found in a Tennessee woods, Pearcy said he never saw any video and that the charges have ruined his life. "If I'd seen a video like that it would go straight to law enforcement; it wouldn't matter who brought it to me," he told NBC News. "Wrong is wrong, regardless. I was brought up better than that."

Meantime, the charges have been devastating, he said. “My life will never be the same. I mean it’s taken everything from me. I can’t walk to a grocery store, I can’t do anything without people always stopping and whispering and saying this or that,” Pearcy said. "I worry about my safety sometimes around here..." said Pearcy. "I wonder ... if someone comes by my house if law enforcement would even come to save me or my kids."

Bobo disappeared from her Darden, Tennessee, home on April 13, 2011, and her remains were found in a wooded area in Decatur County on Sunday night and were identified the next day. Zachary Adams and Jason Autry were charged earlier this year with kidnapping and murder in her death. The remains were found about 10 miles from Adams’ house.

"I look forward to my day in court, because I want people to know the truth," Pearcy said.

Bobo's 25-year-old brother Clint has been interrogated for more than 17 hours, because he was the last person to see Holly. He recently spoke to the media for the first time about his experience, noting that he has received death threats from strangers who accuse him of killing his sister.

In Clint Bobo's recollection, the man in hunting gear was his sister's boyfriend. He told NBC's Nashville station that the couple's conversation was heated and emotional, but he thought the two were breaking up, so he didn't get involved in what turned out to be an abduction.

Here's another indepth account from Clint as to what happened that morning Holly was abducted:

http://www.wsmv.com/story/22123465/holly-bobos-brother-tells-his-side-of-the-story

Excerpt:
"Remarkably, it is Clint Bobo's role as an eyewitness that made him a suspect. Sound asleep that April day, Clint Bobo woke up to the sound of his dog barking then heard voices.

"I slightly raised the blinds and looked out this window and saw Holly," Clint Bobo said. "It appeared to be Holly kneeling down and [Holly's boyfriend] Drew. They looked like they were kneeled down, facing each other in the garage, and they were talking back and forth. Holly sounded very upset and heated. He was doing much of the talking, and she would answer back and things like that. I couldn't make out hardly any of the words. The only words I could make out from here were Holly saying, 'No, why?'"

Clint Bobo said he figured Holly and her boyfriend Drew were breaking up.

At this time, Karen Bobo called home after she heard from a neighbor that there was a scream.

It's important to note that Clint Bobo didn't hear that scream, and Karen Bobo didn't tell her son there was a scream.

They were not on the same page.

"I said, 'Clint, that's not Drew. Get a gun and shoot him.' And I remember him saying, 'You want me to shoot Drew?' So I hung the phone up again, and I think at that point I fell on the floor," Karen Bobo said.

Clint Bobo knew that Holly's boyfriend Drew was turkey hunting that morning, so he thought it was obviously Drew he saw wearing camouflage and talking with his sister. He said it appeared to be a serious conversation and maybe even a break-up talk.

"And I don't want to call 911 and say, 'My sister and her boyfriend are breaking up,'" Clint Bobo said.

So, Clint Bobo didn't act, but went to check again. This time, he saw Holly walking into the woods with the man in camouflage.

"The only thing I could see was his right arm, which was hanging down," Clint Bobo said. "I saw them up to about where those two trees are, and from that point I never saw them again."

I suppose in this case it would have been good to pick up the gun and shoot the man, however Clint wasn't even sure who it was. Something we are not used to here in Canada is picking up a gun at first signs of a problem.

It wasn't Holly's boyfriend. Those articles were from a year ago. The stranger who nabbed Holly had on hunting clothes and that confused her brother into thinking the man was her boyfriend b/c he also had planned to hunt that day.

I wonder how le knew that a third man saw "what happened to Holly""  How can police even prove it?
The man denies it (naturally), and now both he and his brother are charged with tampering of evidence.

What concrete evidence do the police have that this man saw the video?
How can it be proven that he saw anything?

JB, I could be wrong but it seems to me it's over the torture video that was supposedly taken by one of the 2 brothers. One of them showed a woman supposedly and she reported to police. The police have their devices and were trying to find the deleted video and I thought that is what they considered tampering with evidence. I don't know if computer forensics can find traces of a video taken by a cellphone or whether deletions can still be traced on a cell.

Today is April 21, 2018 and the story about Holly is on 20/20 tonight, according to my schedule and that is on ABC.  I do believe I saw it before, not sure, but am going to watch it again tonight. I know it is a horrible and tragic story of a beautiful girl abducted.  I send my prayers to her family and to the investigators that had to go through this also. RIP, Holly.

I did watch the show tonight and my heart goes out to her family. This was the most evil of crimes that I ever heard against a young woman. To think that four grown men abducted a young innocent woman in the morning and brutally raped and murdered her, they deserve to have the death penalty, but they did not. They can rot in jail and the am sure Satan will be waiting for them at the end of the road, they have to be possessed by the devil. God bless Holly's mom and dad and the family members, justice has been handed down and still another has to go through a trial. An unbelievable crime, so very sad. :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'(
