Marilyn Ann Byskal ? June 20, 1974 ? Age 18 ? Missing ? Whitewood Falls, MB - On June 20th, while on a school organized canoe trip Marilyn went missing. Byskal was last seen at her tent when everyone first woke up in the morning. Most present at the camp felt that Marilyn fell into the fast flowing waters of the Grass River, however no one witnessed this. An extensive 10 day water and ground search was conducted, with negative results.

I did some searching for Whitewood Falls, Grass River and found this link which describes the canoe trip along this stretch (500km - taking 6 days to complete) of rivers, creeks etc. This particular area appears to be near Thompson, MB which is 75km from Whitewood Falls according to Google Maps.

There are lovely photos available of this area as well. If you google map search "Pisew Falls" there are lovely shots. Whitewood Falls to Pisew Falls appears to be a popular canoe stretch of the whole trek.
