Lisa Marie Young has been missing since June 30, 2002, from Nanaimo, BC. She is described as a 21 year old female, 5'4"tall, and 115 lbs. She has long dark brown hair and brown eyes. LSW Black skirt, black top, high black boots and a silver hoop necklace. She has a tattoo of a band of flowers with a heart in the middle on her right arm. Lisa was last seen in the Jingle Pot area of Nanaimo.

That evening, she had been out at a club in downtown Nanaimo, with friends, for a birthday party. After the club, Lisa went with a friend, to a couple of house parties, where she met a man. She wanted to get something to eat at a local sandwich shop, where the man said he would take her. A friend received a call from Lisa shortly thereafter, saying that the guy didn't take her to get something to eat, but rather, to another house party, where she didn't feel comfortable. No one has seen/heard from her since.

The vehicle the man was driving (a burgundy? jaguar) was registered to his Grandmother, who has since sold the vehicle and vehemently denies any involvement by her Grandson.

The case is still open

I noticed this below for red sports car as well... Also i checked and Kelly Reilly was last seen getting into a yellow sports car with two unknown males.
~kindheart

Around this time a witness observed a female matching Roberta FERGUSON?S description speaking to a male inside a red sports car at the intersection of Vedder Mountain Rd., and Cultus Lake Rd. The witness described the man in the car as average height, with blond or light brown hair and a prominent jaw.

It wasn't likely a jag, however, we mentioned a connection with Roberta and another case "Vedder" being the key. I just can't recall right now where here but will find it.

I came to this topic to look at the information for Lisa Marie Young which in turn led me to the info on Roberta Ferguson due to the fact that a red sports car was mentioned. I wonder if the other case where you thought that "Vedder" might be the key is the case of Joanne Pederson who was last seen in a phone booth near the corner of Vedder Rd and Watson Rd in the Vedder crossing area of Chilliwack, BC. Is it just me or does anyone see a similarity in appearance between Lisa Marie Young and Roberta Ferguson? The shocking thing to me about all of this is that as I was searching thru this info I realized that each of these three victims share a common middle name "Marie". Is that weird or what?

I also just found another one where Chilliwack police received a report of unidentified skelatal remains on Dec. 6,2007 .These on a logging road in the Vedder Ridge area of Vedder mountain. No other info on whether they have ever been identified. Once you start looking it seems like a lot for this area.

Yes, these are strange coincidences. I think that is a major crossing of some kind? Were the remains ever identified, I remember reading about that but I can't recall any new or more info.

Three Marie's, that is strange. Maybe they were all Catholic, Mary, Marie are common middle names is that true? I'm not Catholic.

Many serial offenders DO have a certain 'look' they prefer. Two striking examples of this are Ted Bundy and David Berkowitz (Son of Sam).

Berkie Boy, may not have been the only killer in the Son of Sam cases. He was hooked up with the Carr Family From Yonkers, who were into Satanic Rituals, and Death. Wheat Carr, the only female member, is said to have killed, also. She later married a COP from the NYCPD.

I just want to include this link I stumbled upon on Lisa Marie.
I found the comments interesting - so to speak! I echo these comments!

God; I wish there was some conscience in this case.  It seems so predictable that so many keep their mouths shut.  Will our young people and young adults ever realize how evil it is out there in night clubs, at party houses and party sites.  When you get among crowds, especially drinking crowds - nobody cares about others, just themselves.  When you get into a situation in these party atmospheres, you have "no friends".  Once danger rares it's head, your so-called friends turn into cowardly deaf mutes.  My heart goes out to Lisa Marie's family.

Police hope TV spot sheds light on cold case

Lisa Marie Young still missing years later

By Danielle Bell, Daily NewsMay 19, 2009

Meghan Wearne shivers slightly outside a Nanaimo nightclub as she waits for her cue.

The 16-year-old, dark-haired Ladysmith girl wears a black skirt, top, boots and an armband tattoo as she stands outside the front door of the former Jungle nightclub, now Club 241. She chats easily to a group of young men standing at a nearby red car.

But Wearne did not choose the club, outfit or even tattoo. Instead, she is emulating Lisa Marie Young, whose unsolved disappearance is one of Nanaimo's most high-profile missing persons cases.

The group is re-enacting Young's last-known movements in the hope that televising the footage will spark tips. For the first time, the case will be filmed as realistically as possible to be aired as part of a Crime Stoppers spot. Nanaimo RCMP hope reviving such unsolved cases can help jog a person's memory and generate fresh leads.

Wearne is one of several actors who volunteered her time late last week to help with the project. She read online websites to help familiarize herself with the case, which turned cold after Young left a nightclub in a red Jaguar with a group of people and attended several house parties. Young was only 21 when she disappeared on Canada Day weekend in 2002. Police said early on they believed Young may have met with foul play.

Wearne said it is eerie how much she resembles Young but the footage aims to be as realistic as possible by using locations, vehicles and props.

Police hope the exposure will prompt someone to step forward.

"We're hoping somebody may remember something," said Nanaimo RCMP spokesman Const. Gary O'Brien. "We're hoping it generates discussion."

The footage will air later this month on Shaw TV. Anyone with information is asked to call Nanaimo RCMP at                250-754-2345         or Crime Stoppers at                1-800-222-8477        .

Someone told 'A' channel that the body in found in Nanimo could be related to this case. CBC made no mention of the case.

Human remains found in Nanaimo

NANAIMO - A cold case in Nanaimo may be heating up again.
A couple looking at a piece of rural property for sale in the Rock City area made a grim discovery today when they stumbled upon human remains.

Now, police are considering whether those remains could solve a seven-year-old mystery.

Lisa Marie Young went missing in June of 2002 and investigators have long believed she met with foul play after attending a late-night party in the Nanaimo area.

Police confirm they are looking at all missing person cases including the disappearance of Lisa Young in connection with the discovery.

There was a large police presence at arrowsmith Road - a wooded area where police say the gruesome discovery was made.

Beyond the police tape, through dense brush, you could just make out investigators as they combed through the scene.

The property where the human remains were found is for sale.

Lisa Marie Young disappeared the night of June 30th, 2002.  Police have never found a body or charged anyone in connection with her disappearance.

People who live in the area say a house nearby used to be problematic with loud parties into the early morning.  They were shocked with the news.
