Oanh Ha - February 28, 1981 ? Age 19 ? Murdered - Golden - Vietnamese refugee was raped and strangled near Golden, her body mutilated after death.

Oanh's death was intimated by Clifford Olson to be one of his victims. He said it in a website profile about him that he's apparently written himself at francis farmers revenge. But he said Oanh was murdered in 1977 - and that he stayed at the hotel where Oanh was working in Banff. She was abducted from there, according to Olson, but I don't know more details than what I've posted. The date of 1977 appears wrong. Or this Oanh Ha is a different one than olson mentions as he gives a middle name.

Interesting. This person went missing from Banff? Another one of those highway 1 murders.

Yes, she is considered  by some as part of the Highway killer list (trans-canada).

But like I said, Olson says he sent a letter about her to an official and that he had stayed at that hotel at the time she went missing and that Oanh was murdered in 1977. But all records (not very many though) I can find about Oanh Ha said she was found on February 28, 1981 so I don't know if she was missing since 1977 or not.

The time frame and location is not that far away from Kelly Cook's murder. Golden, west of Calgary into BC, Highway 1. Standard Alberta, East of Calgary, not far off of Hwy 1 (TransCanada).

I was a  runaway teen hitchhiking in 1975/76 when I was picked up by a man in a truck who drugged me he put a pill in a drink and I passed out in his truck he then started strangling me I put my fist threw his side window and jumped out on the highway, a car was approaching an stopped and drove me to the  rcmp office with they took my name and stopped the guy who was trying to kill me he said I was drunk which was crazy as I was a teen and it was a hot summer day he had drugged me so it appeared that I was drunk the man gave the rcmp money for me to take a bus they let me go as I gave them a fake name[I was a runaway],I was in and around Golden when he picked me up I believe he was Clifford Olson as years later I seen a picture of him on the news I reconized him right away,it was the first time I had ever seen his picture on TV.
I believe he has so much more involment with the missing men/women at that time.

I read a lot up on Clifford Olson, and he sucks big time, is psychotic, glib, gift of gab, and a sorry sick waste of skin!! He is so narcissistic, I bet he kisses his feet every day!!!

Thanks Adrian, I was lucky, I knew that I was drugged and was haveing trouble staying awake but somehow I knew that I had do something to keep alive,the guy said I did'nt want blood[those were his exact words]as blood was now in the truck,that's when I was able to get out and run down the highway,I have never forgotton that day it's very clear,thank you again.

Bet ya had a Guardian Angel on your shoulder that day! I used to hitch hike too. Crazy! But again, I say you are so lucky. This perv, killer, delights in tormenting his victims families., to this day.

Because of the dis appearances here of many women, and teens, with the Sk(s)., I and others have thought of a drug in a drink, either a pop, or a beer.How long before you felt affects, and did you find out the drug used? Many of the gals were/are scrappers, and wondering why they allow driver to leave city limits. This is Edmonton.

Wow, you are one lucky girl. I am glad you are safe. It is something I have wondered about too, it seems many creeps were out and about in the 70's, that and a lot of draft dodgers from the USA.
